Located in the vibrant heart of Bakewell (the `Capital of the Peak`), Knowsley Cottage is a spacious 3-bedroom retreat designed specifically for friends and families who love to gather. Unlike standard rentals that squeeze guests into small kitchenettes, Knowsley is your `Social Basecamp`—curated to balance historic charm with modern `group-ready` luxury.
LIVING & ENTERTAINING This is the heart of the home, designed for those who believe the best memories are made over food and wine:
The Chef’s Kitchen: An expansive space fully equipped for the serious cook. It features a Wine Cooler, Nespresso Machine, dishwasher, and ample prep space so you can cook while chatting with your group.
Dining for 6: A large dining table that comfortably seats everyone for long, laughter-filled dinners.
The Lounge: A cosy sanctuary with comfy seating and a Smart TV, perfect for movie nights after a day hiking Mam Tor.
SLEEPING & PREPARATION (Sleeps 6) We prioritize `Equality of Experience` and have designed our bedrooms to ensure a smooth morning routine, addressing the historic quirk of having one family bathroom:
The Bedrooms: Three individually styled bedrooms (1 King, 2 Doubles) featuring premium linens and blackout options for a restorative sleep.
The `Vanity Station` Solution: To ensure your group can get ready without queues, we have installed a dedicated Vanity Station (mirror, lighting, and power points) in the master bedroom. This allows hair and makeup to happen simultaneously, leaving the bathroom free for showering.
The Bathroom: One spacious, luxury family bathroom with a bath and shower overhead.
OUTDOOR SANCTUARY
The Hot Tub: Sink into the bubbles in your private 6-Seater Hot Tub, housed under a gazebo so you can enjoy it rain or shine.
The Enclosed Patio: A secure, enclosed outdoor space, rare for a town centre property and ideal for keeping your dog safe.
The `Gold Dust` Feature: We provide private off-road parking right at the property. In Bakewell, where parking is notoriously difficult, this allows you to arrive, park up, and forget the car for the weekend.
EV Charging: We offer a 7kW EV Charger (Shared/Universal). Type 2 cable attached.
Check-In: Self-check-in via a secure key safe allows for a flexible arrival after 4:00 PM.
Accessibility: The property is set over two floors with stairs, so it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
