Warm and convenient, but out of date

This property has reasonable space, comfy beds and is warm. Its a 5 min walk to the ski lifts, so quit handy. But it really needs an update. The fire place doesnt work, the TV didnt work (and is a way too complicated set up anyway, which could easily and inexpensively be replaced). In adequate cutlery, some old pans that have been cremated, no baking trays etc... made cooking a little challenging. All manageable, but it could be so much better with a little effort.

nice looking, comfortable place

The condo was good for the most part. The spiral stairs to second level would have been difficult for older tenants. Never got tvs to work. Cooking utensils were minimum. Uphill walk to lift was made easier since one could leave skis with ski valet for nominal fee at days end. Beds were very comfortable. Ample room for 5 adults to be comfortable at days end and for a leisurely breakfast. We would definitely stay there again. Directions to condo came in a timely manner and were easy to follow. Code to enter the condo however did not arrive as promised and it was necessary to email/call for info.

Tired old condo

Condo much farther from ski village than advertised with lots of kitchen supplies lacking or very dirty. Location about 1/2 mile not .2 of a mile. Gas fireplace difficult- was hoping for wood-burning fireplace as some of the units had them. There were 5 regular spoons which was ridiculous for a condo with a kitchen with 3 bedrooms! Some of dining table chairs were falling apart.

Ski week in Big Sky

Overall we had a very good stay at Stillwater. The unit was clean and as described. The only negative thing was that we were there during an exceptionally cold week and it was quite cold in the unit. The slider leaks air and the fireplace didn't work and though we asked for service on that, the company never sent anyone to look at it, so we were dependent on the electric heat. Also, the hot water heater only holds enough hot water for about 2-3 showers, so if you have a large party, which this unit can hold, you need to plan and space out showers in order to have hot water for everyone. But other than that, we really had a great stay. We were there to ski, after all. The unit is located in the base area of the Resort, so it is a short walk to the base area lifts, shops and restaurants.

Hello Tolman, thank you for your review we strive to meet or exceed expectations and all of our homes are privately owned and there for are subject to the wants of the Owner. This means we have home size hot water heaters which is a common misconception so we are glad you pointed this out. While this unit is spacious and can accommodate large groups, it does not have endless hot water that you might expect from a hotel. Let us know when you are returning and we can find a unit better suited to your personal needs. This home is a great one, and we love it. We apologize for not meeting your expectations but this is a beautifully located unit and is full of all the amenities We, Stay Montana offer as well as the Town of BIg Sky which is our homebase.

Convenient location, nice layout, passable kitchen

This condo worked really well for our family of five to spend a week skiing at Big Sky. It is a 5 minute walk to the base without gear, and around 8 minutes with gear. The upstairs rooms work great for the 3-4 kids, with the parents downstairs. There is a storage closet for skis. The fireplace warms up the living room nicely. The kitchen worked for us, but don't expect much. One burner didn't work, and the two large pots were all scraped up. There were maybe five spoons total. The dinner table chairs were wobbly and felt like they might collapse. The fireplace thermostat had no effect. The support from Stay Montana was great. They did replace a lightbulb and bring two new pots and remove the damaged ones. They walked us through starting the fireplace manually, since the thermostat didn't work.

Good location close to the base

All was great about this property and the only reason I gave it a good is that the cookware is really old. I suggest you either bring your own skillets or the owner should invest less than $100 to buy some new. Other than that I highly recommend this property

Big Sky 2019

Condo was nice, location was great, but the stairs were nothing short of ridiculous. Spiral staircase about 16" wide is just stupid. Should be re-engineered, there are simple solutions to this problem.
