For all of the beautiful luxury rental properties in St. Barth, there are not to many opportunities to rent an island vacation home right beside the sea. But the newly built Villa Anja (ANJ) is a delightful exception. The home is conveniently located right on Lorient beach, one of the most calm and peaceful on the island. It is opposite the Petite Colombe bakery and within easy walking distance to the shops and other points of interest in the Lorient area.

Although its location makes it a special rarity, its aesthetics keep it firmly within the St. Barth tradition. Its design is suffused with the island’s spirit, and it encourages a simplicity of living. With one bedroom, it works perfectly for a couple enjoying a romantic escape or even a solo traveler who wishes to work on a creative project or simply take a relaxing holiday beside the Caribbean Sea.

Villa Anja was designed to offer everything that you need and very little that you don’t. Most of the living area is outdoors, beside the good-size swimming pool. There, you will find lounge chairs for sunbathing, as well as a covered area for reading or conversation. On the far end of the swimming pool, there is a shaded gazebo with a comfortable sitting area and a grill. A few steps from the pool terrace leads directly down to the beach.

Inside, the galley kitchen in sleek black marble is well equipped. There is a table for two in the kitchen, which is prefect for breakfast or coffee, as well as an outdoor dining table on the terrace beneath an umbrella.

Likewise, the bedroom is elegant in its simplicity, and it has a euro king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower. Both the bedroom and kitchen are air-conditioned. The villa has ample parking and easy accessibility, as it is all designed over one level.
