Merry Dale Cottage is named after one of the pastures here at Humble Bee Farm and boasts stunning interiors and features including beamed ceilings, slate floors, under floor heating and a log burner.
Upon entering the cottage from the south east of the farm, this cottage enjoys an open patio area complete with wrought iron bench which leads towards the privacy gate and timber screen fencing.
The cottage has stunning views of one of the farm meadows.
This opens into a patio area with outdoor dining furniture, a charcoal bbq and of course the private hot tub. Hot tub towels are provided.
On entering the cottage, guests will see the main corridor with the bedroom off to the left and the main living area to the right.
The living area includes lounge, kitchen and dining area which is entirely open plan for maximum comfort and relaxation.
This cottage is positioned so there is lots of natural light entering the cottage: there are blinds and curtains if guests need shade.
It has slate floor throughout with underfloor heating.
Decorated in restful colours, the main living area includes a quality three-piece suite with tasteful cushions; a feature coffee table; patio doors onto the outdoor area; and the famous picture window overlooking the farmyard.
There is a wall mounted smart tv too for relaxing evenings watching a favourite film and a chest of drawers.
A cosy log burner is a lovely finishing touch to this cottage, timber is provided.
In the lounge chest of drawers there are games and a welcome folder crammed with useful information.
The kitchen includes a large smeg fridge/freezer, work surfaces, a toaster, kettle and microwave, a hob with extractor, an electric oven, a dishwasher, and plenty of storage cupboards.
The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, pans, crockery, cutlery, glassware, kitchen knives and more … perfect for preparing delicious holiday meals!
There are also ample cleaning products provided so everything is on hand.
Merry Dale Cottage is the cottage which is great for guests who love to keep an eye on the farmyard and the farmyard gang.

The cottage is suitable for up to four guests and is on the ground floor.
With cottage parking close by, guests have privacy thanks to an enclosed patio area with outdoor tables and chairs and of course the fabulous private hot tub beneath fairy light and a pergola.
Open the sturdy door into a quiet, slate floored corridor which gives access to two beautiful ensuite bedrooms and the spacious lounge, kitchen and dining area.
Underfloor heating keeps this cottage super cosy during the colder weather.
Dogs welcome, tariff applies.
The bedrooms are comfortable with the main bedroom including a king size bed while the second bedroom includes twin beds which can be made into king size upon request.
Each bedroom is ensuite: the main bedroom has a bath with shower over, a washbasin and toilet along with blue tooth mirrors. Dressing gowns and slippers provided for adult guests.
The second bedroom includes its own ensuite facility including shower, toilet and basin.
One of the main features of this cottage is its picture window which affords views over the farmyard itself.
This could inspire younger visitors to become farmer of the future!

Humble Bee Farm offers a delightful variety of farm inspired experiences, including three scenic circular walks around the farm, an on-site shop and reception, The Hive Café Bar (open at select times), the busy duck pond, an onsite play area, and the tranquil Reflection Garden which is perfect for some peaceful moments.
As well as the Hive café bar for pizza nights and light bites, there are plenty of places to eat nearby.
