We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was very clean, well appointed and we enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after a day of walking the trails. Communication with the host was top notch. We were impressed with this property, it checked off all our needs. Ample towels for the 2 of us to use the hot tub and shower. We enjoyed the private green space and easy access to the fire pit. Parking is right in front of the cabin! This property is clean and well maintained. The bed is very comfortable. The check-in instructions and directions are very concise.

Great Cottage

What a wonderful cottage. All amenities were provided. Just need to bring your food (other than oil, vinegar, salt, pepper). Great BBQ. Can't beat BBQ'ing while observing the seals and birds! Would definitelt stay again!

Cabin was clean and in a beautiful location. Nice fire pit area and view of the water. Hosts were great and made sure everything was ready upon arrival. This is a fairly secluded area however it is an easy drive to dining, Tofino and hiking.

Great stay overall

Amazing location and views, seamless check in process, good communication, and it was very clean inside. The only negative was that the cabin next to us had a view from their front door directly into our bedroom and of the area where you get into the hot tub...which was a bit unsettling. Making one section of the fence slightly higher would solve this. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay!

Thanks for your review, that’s great to hear you enjoyed the cabin and location :). To add more clarity to the window comment. There is a second cabin on the property. You can see the backside of the cabin to your right as it’s set to the side and forward on the property. The cabin doesn’t impact the view or privacy. The reviewer mention seeing into this cabin. That is not the case as there are no viewing windows on the backside of the other cabin and there is an over 6’ fence to ensure privacy. On top of the 6’ fence it’s bordered with bamboo that goes well above the fence height. There is also lots of shrubs and trees to create a private space. There is absolutely no way the other cabin could see the hot tub or occupants as it’s very private. The privacy is great and how both cabins are set on the property with added privacy panels and shrubs is designed to create privacy :)

Such an amazing place to soak in the natural beauty of the west coast. Incredibly peaceful setting, with a very private outdoor area and hot tub. Inside the building was just as beautiful as the outside! We will definitely be back!

Home Away From Home

To say we enjoyed ourselves would be an understatement.We would give our stay at the “Gone With The Wind Cabin” a 15 out of 10The size was perfect for our needs.The hot tub was our go to place to relax.We live in Parksville, but we love the west coast.So much to see and do.The Lighthouse Trail became part of our daily routine.We will definitely be back.

Small, private, with beautiful view

The cabin was a bit lacking in areas to put clothing (especially the bedroom and bathroom), no coffee table by the couch, check-in 5 pm and check-out 10 am a bit stingy and inconvenient, could have been more generous, but the place is very quiet, beautiful view, and the common outdoor area with firepit was fantastic.

The accommodation itself was beautiful, very clean. We had not realised that it was so close to so many other apartments. On our first evening, there was a constant noise of cars on the driveway. We could hear the other guests. Not because they were noisy but due to the close proximity to our apartment. The second evening there was a loud humming noise either from the fridge or the heating. This made me unable to sleep. We were booked to stay for 5 nights but left after the second. I contacted the host to inform them. They insinuated that we were lying as they claimed to have been at the property and there was no noise. I was unaware of their presence in my apartment where the humming was coming from. I would not recommend and would never return.

Hi Gina, I’m sorry yes that is true we were onsite the entire time. There was no noise out of the ordinary and the property is a quiet property that is adult oriented. I’m glad you love the place overall I’m just still confused by the noises you say you were hearing? The main heating source is radiant floors which have no moving parts. We are just a phone call away and could have addressed your concerns how ever you checked out then sent us a message after. Your rating and review are definitely disappointing as we work very hard and pay attention to detail to ensure guests love staying. Your review doesn’t reflect the atmosphere on the property at all.

We found our little piece of heaven here!

We stayed in this property as our last leg to our BC vacation and we wanted a peaceful place to spend the last few days here. We were not disappointed. Not only is the cabin spotlessly clean, it is also in the perfect location - right on the water with an unbeatable view on the deck . However , what set this place different is the excellent and responsive service . We arrived really late on the 1st day . When we got there, there was a minor question I had so I emailed Brock, fully expecting to have a response the next day as it was already 10 pm. After 5 min of sending the email, Brock came to our door and addressed our questions. He was so friendly and pleasant and we really felt that he cared about our concerns and questions and this stay will be a great one! The kitchen is well stocked with your everyday items like olive oil, salt and pepper, and spices, and regular kitchen utensils. We spent most of our evenings enjoying the hot tub and the beautiful deck, saw some otters and had an absolutely blissful and relaxing time . We will be back . Thank you Brock! Anita and Family

Amazing and quiet location

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a nice and a quiet location overlooking the water. Cleanliness is top notch. It’s so relaxing just sitting at the patio watching the boats go by every morning and afternoon. We will be back for sure and will not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.
