The town's Cliff Railway is the longest electric cliff railway in Britain, and the panoramic views on the journey are spectacular. A wonderful day can be spent at the visitors’ centre by the Rheidol reservoir, which is part of the largest hydro-electric scheme in Wales, alternatively, catch some trout or spend the most delightful time in the Butterfly House with its exotic plants and butterflies. This wonderful part of West Wales has everything - countryside walks, sandy beaches, a Narrow Gauge Steam Railway, museums, castles and plenty of Welsh folklore to make this the perfect holiday base any time of year.
