RetroEtnea House is an elegant three-room apartment that blends modern and Liberty styles, located in the heart of Catania's historic Baroque center, just behind the main Via Etnea. This cozy, air-conditioned apartment features two interconnected double bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room with a Smart TV, a library, a CD player, and a private bathroom. Its prime location places you just steps away from Catania's main tourist attractions and the central train station, in a lively area of the city's nightlife. Despite being close to the vibrant scene, the apartment is situated in a historic building that offers an elegant and peaceful atmosphere.


THE APARTMENT:

In the heart of Catania, halfway between the elegant Via Etnea—the historic shopping street, with its Baroque monumental buildings and the magnificent gardens of Villa Bellini—and the folkloric, vibrant, and popular Fiera di Catania.
An authentic Sicilian home, with its typical layout of interconnected spaces, period internal fixtures, original floors, and antique furniture, overlooking a street full of restaurants, wine bars, and local hangouts.
The main bedroom, located at the back, ensures privacy and tranquility, while a modern and fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare the specialties you'll find at the market. Two air conditioners guarantee an ideal temperature in every season.

The apartment is located on the first floor of a recently restored early-20th-century historic building, characterized by high vaulted ceilings, period flooring, sliding glass doors, and a style that blends modernism with Liberty-style antiques.
The accommodation features a spacious living room with two sofas, a large, accessible library, a CD player with stereo system, and Smart TV.
From the living room, you can access the fully equipped kitchen, which includes a dining table, gas stove, electric oven, refrigerator with freezer, coffee machine, and electric kettle.
The sleeping area consists of two interconnected double bedrooms, each with a large wardrobe, dresser, coat rack, desk, and a small balcony overlooking the internal courtyard.
The private bathroom includes sanitary fixtures, bidet, shower box, and washing machine.
We provide our guests with: bathroom linens, shower gel and shampoo, hairdryer, iron; and a welcome kit with: coffee, water, seasonal fruit, tea, and snacks.

The name *RetroEtnea* refers not only to its central location—behind the main street of Catania—but also to the "retro" and "vintage" style of the apartment, with a focus on modern comforts. The concept of the apartment, blending literature and music, is felt both inside the home with the large, accessible library and CD stereo player, and outside on Via Gemmellaro, one of the main streets of Catania's lively nightlife.

The central location makes it easy to reach all the tourist attractions in the historic center, which can be visited on foot, though driving in the area can be challenging due to limited traffic (the area is a restricted traffic zone). The central train and bus station is just a few minutes' walk away, and the nearest metro stop is "Stesicoro," located at Piazza Stesicoro. Via Etnea also has Alibus stops, the shuttle service to the airport.


USEFUL INFOS FOR GUESTS:

The entire apartment is for the exclusive use of the guests during their stay, and there are no shared spaces with the host or other tenants.


For bookings for TWO PEOPLE, only the double bed in the main bedroom will be prepared. If the two guests wish to sleep SEPARATELY, the preparation of the other bed must be specified at the time of booking; otherwise, the provision of the second bed will not be guaranteed.
We are always available for our guests, both through the chat and, if necessary, via our personal phone number.

We personally welcome our guests at check-in, providing all the necessary information about the accommodation and the surrounding area to ensure a warm arrival in Catania.
For everyone's convenience, however, we use Self Check-out when leaving the apartment.

- Check-in is available between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
- Late check-in is possible after 9:00 PM for an additional fee, payable upon arrival.
- Check-out must be completed by 10:00 AM.

- Possibility to book the private shuttle service to/from Catania Fontanarossa Airport available for an additional FEE.

- Please be cautious with the antique furniture and display cabinets, and DO NOT use the contents. The kitchen is fully equipped for up to 6 people.

- All guests' identification documents must be shown upon arrival, as required by Italian law.

- Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out.
