Die Library Suite verfügt über eine sehr effiziente, einfache Küche und ein Schlafsofa für 2 zusätzliche Gäste.
Aufgrund unserer großen Sammlung einzigartiger Bücher sind in diesem Gerät KEINE Haustiere gestattet. Wir begrüßen jedoch Ihre Haustiere in der ebenfalls bei VRBO gelisteten The Garden Suite.

It was the best to wake up to all the deer and turkeys in the yard. Also there was a really pretty little hiking trail right across the street. It was such a quiet and amazing little spot

Always love the Library Suite

We come here about twice a year for a week enjoying the redwoods, the rural ambiance, and the historic town center. A trip to Headwaters Forest, one or two trips to the Humboldt National Wildlife Refuge, out the Petrolia Road, out to the beach, shopping in Old Town Eureka, a visit to the Arcata Farmers Market--what's not to love? Sharon and Sylvia are thoughtful hosts and this is truly a unique property.

Getaway

Loved our stay. The Library is so cozy and comfortable. We did a lot of exploring of the surrounding area while we were there and it was so nice to come back to this little retreat to relax after a long day. It’s also just a short pleasant walk into town and we loved walking around the cemetery and seeing the view of Ferndale from up on the hill.

Peaceful setting

This was our second time staying here. It is a very peaceful area and beautiful setting in the country; a nice respite from the city, and appreciated after a long drive. The room was perfect and we enjoyed looking at some of the 3,000 books in The Library!

Always happy to be in The Library

I have lost track of how many times we have stayed at Bluff House Library Suite over the years. The property is comfortable, Sylvia and Sharon are friendly and helpful hosts, and we do so enjoy Ferndale's Victorian and agricultural ambiance. And of course, there are the books! What a unique vacation experience. Much recommended.

Great little place, but feels bigger then it is with very high ceilings and lots of natural light!

We really enjoyed the Library House. Cozy, homey, and great location within easy walk to downtown and Russ Park. It was very clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. Loved all the books!

The Library is unique & special

We loved our stay in the library! Browsing the wide variety of books was quite fun. We love being a little bit out of town and walking in to the sweet town of Ferndale. Our second stay at this property, but first at the library. Our go to place now when coming to Ferndale.

Kinetic Sculpture Race Holiday

The Library is in a beautiful, bucolic setting on the outskirts of Ferndale. We enjoyed being in the dairy district, with cows munching the pasture grass right outside the kitchen window. The high ceilings, the 3,000 books, the abundant daylight, and the quiet of the location "outside" of town added to the delightful stay we enjoyed.

Charming place to stay

We had an incredible two nights at this lovely property. It’s quiet and peaceful. The wood burning stove made it warm and cozy. We enjoyed watching the wildlife through the big windows. A great place to unwind!

Read all about it!

We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful vacation home. The setting was very peaceful allowing us to see deer grazing and raptors hunting in the fields below the house. The bed was comfortable, the towels soft and fluffy and the enormous variety of books to read kept us thoroughly entertained.

great spot for a gathering, close to many things, comfortable

great place, comfortable with that farmstead feel. You get a birdseye view of Ferndale from here. Highly recommend. Nice that one of the cabins allows dogs, nice fenced in areas. Trails right next to the property, just a few miles to the beach.

Peaceful, bucolic setting!

Our second time staying at this property. It's delightful! Small town peacefulness, with hiking and a gorgeous beach in your backyard. Property doesn't have a TV which should be a standard amenity in most rentals. Also, beach towels or chairs would be a nice addition since there's a gorgeous, unspoiled beach a couple miles down a quiet farm road. The suggestions above do not dim my HIGHEST recommendation for this lovely, well-maintained property.

Charming and quiet, perfect

Felt calm the minute I walked in the door, just as charming as I hoped for. Very clean. The assortment of books available to read is impressive, definitely something for everyone. With its 20-foot ceiling, the cottage is even nicer than the pictures predict. Cocktails around the fire pit feature the company of deer, wild turkeys, and the local cat. I'll recommend this place to everyone I know who travels to the area.

Best Retreat Space Ever

This space is quiet and private. It is great for a getaway on your own or to reconnect with someone special. The fire pit is a great element in the evenings, the space is comfortable and inviting, and the kitchen allows for you to prep good food at home if you don't want to eat in Ferndale. My partner and I have returned a handful of times. We plan to stay at the Library again.

Awesome spot!!

We loved staying at the Library Suite at the Bluff House!! We were able to walk to town and Russ Park. We enjoyed the space around the property with lush greenery and many different types of farm animals including cows. The Library Suite was very cozy, clean, and enjoyable. A previous review about bringing a cot was a great idea since our kids are teenagers and they both would not have fit on the pull out couch together. I would highly recommend staying here--it was wonderful!!

Serene Setting

This was our second time staying in the Library Suite and it was just as enjoyable as our first. The location, just outside of town, makes for peaceful nights and restful days. Walking into town though is a breeze, as there is a grassy path to keep you off the road until the sidewalk starts. There are multiple shops and galleries in Ferndale to keep you amused, and easy access to the highway if you want to venture further afield.

Cozy Living Space

Wow - our family had a wonderful experience during our stay in Ferndake, CA. My 6 year old and I enjoyed playing ping pong and football in the game room. I really enjoyed browsing the books and even indulging win the music collection.. Thanks for sharing with us your cozy facility.
