The Space:
Welcome to Beech Cottage: Your Gateway to the Peak District
Nestled on a quiet hillside, Beech Cottage provides serene views of the Derwent Valley against the backdrop of the Peak District and the distant Chatsworth estate. The cottage is a short drive from the bustling streets of Matlock, with its array of shops and dining options, and the charming market town of Bakewell.
Your Comfortable Retreat:
Entering the cottage, you'll find a welcoming space designed for relaxation and convenience. The open-plan living area invites you to unwind with a book or enjoy your favourite series on the Smart TV, all while staying cosy by the log burner. The dining area, which is raised a few steps, offers a spacious setting for meals together.
The kitchen is fully equipped to handle your culinary ventures, from morning coffee with the Nespresso machine to a homemade dinner prepared with our electric oven and induction hob. The convenience of a washer/dryer is also at your disposal.
Upstairs, the accommodation comprises a flexible super king bedroom that can also be set up as twins, and a double bedroom, each featuring Smart TVs, mini Alexas, and ample storage.
Outdoor Living:
The rear patio is your outdoor haven for enjoying the warmer months, equipped with seating, a gas BBQ, and festive lights. Secure storage for bicycles and walking gear is available in the garden store. Ample free on-street parking is available outside the property.
Beech Cottage combines the beauty of the Peak District with the comforts of home, making it a perfect spot for both adventure and relaxation.

Guests have private and exclusive access to the entire property.
The back door leading from the kitchen is for means of escape only and leads to a shared area, equally our neighbours have access through the patio in case of an emergency.
The Neighborhood:
Nestled on a hillside position, upon arrival you will see the fantastic views that Beech Cottage has over the Derwent Valley, the Peak District itself with the Chatsworth estate in the distance. There is so much to do in this area with lots of shops and restaurants to enjoy in Matlock, which also has a handy railway station. The property is just a short drive from the pretty market town of Bakewell with its many shops and cafes that offers a great place for a gentle stroll. During November Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall have fabulous Christmas markets and other events throughout the year.
Getting Around:
A car is recommended to fully enjoy and explore the local area.
Matlock train station is about a 20 minute walk away or 5 minutes in a taxi.
Other Things to Note:
-The property welcomes two dogs, making it a great choice for pet owners.
-Free street side parking is available to the front of the property on a first come first serve basis.
-Secure storage for bikes and adventure equipment in the garden shed.
-The master bedroom offers flexible sleeping arrangements upon request between a super king and a twin. Please let us know your preference before day of arrival.
