We were met by an elderly gentleman who spoke no English. He showed us the downstairs rooms but not upstairs because he could not get up the stairs probably. He left shortly but gave us contact details.On closer inspection of each room we noticed how dirty everywhere was. There were no sheets, pillow cases or duvet covers on any of the beds and no towels.We did not know this in advance, so we had to go and buy everything we needed. There was a bathmat in the shower room - too dirty to be used, so we bought a new one. The shower was broken as it could not be fixed to the wall. The light shades in the toilet and shower room were torn. The sink unit in the kitchen was filthy so we cleaned the area with bleach as well as table surfaces and worktops so that we could happily use them. We had to clean the kettle, plus pans, plates, bowls and cutlery before we felt confident to use them.Wallpaper had started to peel away from the walls in most rooms. To get to the back yard/solarium you had to walk up filthy steps, so it didn't seem to be a place we wanted to use.One bedroom had carpet which hadn't been vacuumed for maybe years.We did not unpack any clothes because we didn't want to store them in the wardrobes.There was no parking space,WiFi, or satellite tv.Location was good for the beach. We've rented several places in Brittany before, but nothing as filthy as this. Photos used must be 10 years old, so very misleading. This was expensive and NOT worth the money!
