    Our third and final stay! Main bedroom/ensuite stinks of drains clearly an ongoing issue since our

    last stay in Jan 2025! Hot tub cold and heavily chlorinated! Place looks tired and worn, disappointing!

    A great escape!

    This is our 4th year in a row and we just love it. A fabulous place right on our doorstep. Just a great place to get together and absolutely chill with friends. So our group of 4 friends have decided to go twice a year now and have booked another stay in November. Plus I've also booked an extra weekend to take my 85 year old Mum and my sisters. I have recommended it to lots of people and my sister has been going with her group of friends for a couple of years too and rebook each year. Another friend goes with her work colleagues annually after I recommended it. No one has been disappointed. They have all loved it.

    Another great stay at Oak Lodge

    This was our families 3rd stay at Oak Lodge. We had a lovely time once again and our kids were already asking when we can go back again. The lodge has everything you need and the hot tub is a great extra. Great location and very private.

    Wow Factor

    Not cheap but you very much get what you pay for. The first words out of all of our mouths were 'wow' and 'Stunning'. No expense spared on the lodge, fabulous location with amazing views and everything was spotless, including the hot tub. Staff very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great stay

    Fabulous

    Our second stay at this fabulous lodge for our annual girls trip away in December.Oak lodge is beautiful very clean and has all that you need. Great addition is the hot tub .Angela and her staff team fab and always on hand . Thank you See you next year !

    2nd visit.

    This was our 2nd visit to the cottages, absolutely amazing cottages. Loved the hot tub. Lady in office so friendly and welcoming. Cottage was beautiful, loved the views from windows across the countryside. Walks as soon as you come out of gate, 5min down drive and you are on loch lomond. Will be back.

    Oak Lodge is a great cottage

    Beautiful modern cottage with a stunning outlook over the fields and hills. Well looked after by the owner Dave and his team led by Angie, who are on hand to help with any queries. Hot tub is a must! Bring your swimming trunks!

    Bliss

    I have stayed at this farm before but a different lodge. It was very peaceful & very relaxing. The hot tub & log fires are such a lovely touch. The hot tub at this lodge does benefit from having a canopy so if the weather is wet you can still use it. That is a huge factor for me as so many places have hot tubs but no shelter which you don't always get the use of if the weather is bad. I recommend this lodge and rate it 10/10.

    Excellent Accommodation

    This is our 3rd time staying at Auchendennan farm and 2nd time in Oak Lodge. The place is so peaceful but plenty surrounding you only 5 mins drive to pubs, 10 mins to shops so the best of both worlds. Perfect countryside out of your window and walks on the doorstep The lodge is of a high standard and has everything for a perfect stay. We had problems getting the sky tv to work and Angela was with us within 5 minutes of the call and sorted it straight away. A perfect location and wonderful lodge and we will be returning again.

    Things to be aware of before booking…

    There is no personal touch with this property, no hello, or welcome or, asking us how we’re getting on, need anything or a personal touch at all. The lodge looks great but it did had a few crucial things we had no idea about on booking. Firstly, the grounds around the lodge are open and exposed onto a lane so if you have a dog (or child) you have to be really careful, then there’s a very, very busy A Road at the end of the lane and trying to cross it on foot to the Loch is a nightmare, let alone pulling out in a car! Luckily the lodge is set further back to hear too the traffic. They advertise they have an EV charger but it’s ill equipped, so you have to go elsewhere which was inconvenient. The weirdest thing though was that the lodge made very strange noises especially through the night, we checked for animals/birds etc but we couldn’t see anything.

    Spacious and modern with lovely views

    The house felt bigger in reality than it looks in the photos. Clean and comfortable with nice views over fields towards Loch Lomond to your right. Was lovely to sit in the hot tub and watch the sun go down. Also so nice to sit round the outdoor fire toasting marshmallows. There is a slight noise of traffic from the main road that travels up the left of Loch Lomond but it wasn’t overpowering and we could still hear the birds tweeting and fully relax. Although there are other properties nearby, it felt secluded and we weren’t overlooked by anyone. It took about five minutes to walk to Loch Lomond. We found out when we read the house manual that there was a tennis court and basketball court (although we didn’t manage to find them).

    We booked out every property for our wedding guests in April and we would highly recommend Auchendennan Farm. Angela, James and the whole team are so kind, helpful and relaxed.     A little piece of heaven on your doorstep

    Have stayed twice before in Rose Cottage and loved it. Stayed in Oak Cottage this time and absolutely loved it. Angela is always so lovely and welcoming. Oak Cottage is a stunning modern, well equipped getaway. I live locally but when you're at Auchendennan , you could be anywhere. I've recommended to several people who have booked and rebooked. I'm all for supporting local businesses. Waiting on confirmation e-mail to go back later this year and again in February 2026.

    Relaxing family staycation

    Stayed here for the second time with our two kids and had a great time. The lodge is well kitted out and has a lovely cosy atmosphere. The kids loved the hot tub and making their own fire. The horses on the farm are a lovely addition too and the kids loved going to visit them. Close to lots of amenities and will look forward to booking again.

    An amazing Christmas break away!

    This was our second visit to Auchendennan Farm cottages but our first time staying in Oak Lodge. This lodge was perfect. They literally have everything. We took our son this time and even he loved it. The wood fire and hot tub is just amazing and it even had a lovely Christmas tree adding to the festive cheer. Already planning our next visit!

    Family get together

    Lodge was warm and comfortable and Spacious The log burner and hot tub were both welcome after day out walking. The underfloor heating made the lodge always feel warm and the heated rails in the bathroom meant no damp towels ..The lodge feels very private and secluded. Plenty of parking and outside space for the dogs. Balloch is a 5 minute drive away but we found Helensburgh best for food shops etc and only about 15 mins away. Staff at the farm are extremely friendly and helpful.Will definitely return!

    Really Lovely Accommodation

    Fabulous lodge property in a secluded position within a large farm. Very modern open plan living with lovely touches. Angela was super friendly and responsive - a real positive experience. In essence, everything you could wish for on a short break. Only regret - not staying longer lol!!

    Fantastic location and amazing lodge

    A fantastic short stay at this lodge. It is well laid out, comfortable, clean, well presented and and has everything you could need. Great location for days out. The view is stunning and just watching the weather roll in over the hills/loch is captivating...it changes so quickly!. Fantastic enjoyable stay.

    A Perfect Stay

    Oak Lodge is very comfortable, modern, perfectly maintained, spotlessly clean and in a beautiful, peaceful location. The outdoor space, with covered seating area, bbq and hot tub, were a lovely addition. There was a good supply of firewood and kindling although the underfloor heating keeps the lodge cosy. The lodge was easy to find and when we arrived was all lit up and very welcoming. Charging for our vehicle on site was another bonus. This is a wonderful lodge. Thank you.
