The house was so nice! The views were stunning, it was nice and bright and open. Plenty of space for our group of 9! The dock was fun to play on, the hot tub was lovely, and the lake is all around beautiful.
There was some issues however with a few things. First of all, it would have been nice for the house description to mention yes it is a 4 bedroom, but the 4th bedroom is actually a separate suite under the garage (that smells rather musty and moist to be honest) it was fine for our group of all adults, but if you had family, maybe not so much? Also VRBO lists this as sleeping 10. We had 9 and had to put one on an air mattress that thankfully we brought with us. The property manager said there was an air mattress and bedding in a closet which we never found. I never contacted her to get one (for other reasons I will expand upon later) however, so likely in the future this could be remedied.
The overall frustration with this house was the property management themselves. I received a call from them a few days before the trip. They seemed quite mad at me for being "unreachable" despite never having received a call, an email, or even a message from them on VRBO. They were convinced they had been calling me, leaving voicemails and texts, however I never received one (and I know my phone works). Also why no email or message through VRBO, she even said they don't have email set up (yet I emailed them my paperwork back)? Because she needed to MAIL me something (again, why no email?!) and it was too late, we had to text a document that was so cumbersome (after asking if I had faxing capabilities). Also on top of this she was incredibly accusatory that we were going to have more than our number of people staying there. She kept on harping about it the whole time we talked, and again when we checked in. It was incredibly condescending, frustrating, rude and unprofessional. The whole process made me wish we could have canceled the house, or that she would have stopped by to see how wrong she was. Thought I loved the house, and perhaps others won’t have the issues I did (one can only hope), the management alone would make me not want to recommend this place. I think they should get a new property manager, or at least administrative person.
We did run out of gas in the grill and I will say the turnaround time for getting a new tank was quite quick and easy. But still didn't make up for the rude and condescending behavior with which it began.
