The Nohea villa in Kamili'i village is an ideal destination for a visitor to the spectacular island of Kauai.
While it could be said, that the open concept floor plans of the units in Kamili'i village are pretty much the same, Nohea's remarkable seat on top of the Kamili'i compound, places it literally above all the others. Crowning Princeville's sloping peninsula, this location provides unique access to both the refreshing trade winds streaming into the unit off the Pacific and to the iconic views of the Hihimanu mountain ridge.
It has to be seen to be believed.
The panoramic view from Nohea's second floor balcony extends one hundred and eighty degrees: from the nearly 5000 foot peak of Namalokama, to the legendary crest of Bali Hai, shyly peeking through stands of majestic Norfolk pines. This spot is so popular with Nohea's guests that the balcony chairs are changed every year. Even the preparation of a simple meal in Nohea's fully stocked modern kitchen, can become an indelible memory, when shared with the staging backdrop of a 3000 foot waterfall plunging off the emerald and jade vertical flanks of Mamalahoa…not to mention the intensity of the rainbows.
The villa framing this 5.1 million year old volcanic masterpiece is luxurious, exotic and comfy. From the playful faux palms, vaulted ceilings and the rich ebony hardwood floors of the upper story, to the well appointed twin primary bedrooms on the entry floor, Nohea aims to continue, uninterrupted, the relaxed beauty of the island of Kauai throughout the unit. If you absolutely have to do some work or print out boarding passes, you'll find a semi private office with a printerscanner (that's compatible with all your digital devices) just outside the entry floor's bedrooms. Nohea's enclosed garage is stocked with chairs and beach toys that are helpful companions at many of the nearby beaches, including world class Hanalei bay and Queen's bath. We want to ensure guests are aware that during the winter months in Hawaii, gnats are naturally more prevalent due to the tropical climate. These tiny insects are attracted to light and are especially common in lush, green areas like ours. While we take every measure to maintain the property, their presence is a natural part of the environment and beyond our control.
To minimize their impact during your stay:
Keep doors and windows closed as much as possible.
Ensure screens are securely in place. Please note, however, that some gnats are so small they may get through even the finest mesh screens.
We appreciate your understanding as you experience the natural beauty of Hawaii’s unique ecosystem.
Parking Policy:
To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests and neighbors, please adhere to the following parking guidelines:
- Assigned Parking: Each unit includes one garage space and one numbered outside parking space. The garage must be used for your primary vehicle, and the second vehicle (if applicable) must use the assigned outside space.
- Guest Parking: Overnight guest parking is allowed in designated guest stalls for up to 12 hours per day or 3 consecutive days. For longer stays, prior approval from the Site Manager is required.
- Vehicle Restrictions: Oversized vehicles, motorcycles, or motor scooters may not be accommodated. Vehicles must fit in the garage with the door closed.
- Driveway Use: Driveways may only be used for 30 minutes while loading/unloading or washing vehicles (detergent soap is prohibited).
- No Street Parking: Parking along main roadways or in undesignated areas is not permitted.
- Compliance: Violations may result in fines or towing at the vehicle owner’s expense.
