During Christmas and New Year 2026 the following bookings are possible: an 8 night stay from Saturday, 19th to Sunday, 27th December and a 5 night stay from Monday, 28th December to Saturday, 2nd January 2027. Pilchard Cottage consists of oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, a dining room for four, and a sitting room with wood-burning stove and Smart TV. The bedrooms consist of two king-sizes and one single bed, serviced by a ground-floor bathroom. Bed linen, towels, beach towels, dressing gowns and a large picnic blanket are provided. Outside there is an enclosed, rear courtyard with furniture and roadside parking on a first-come-first-served basis. Complimentary parking permit use for long stay car parks in Dawlish & Dawlish Warren - closest car park to the cottage is approx 350 yards. Two dogs welcome. Please let the property owners know if you are celebrating a special occasion and would like some decorations to be put up ahead of your arrival. The property will be festively decorated for Christmas. The cottage is dog friendly which includes tiled flooring from the front door to the back door and a warm water dog shower in the enclosed courtyard. There are dog friendly beaches and woodland walks in the vicinity. The following items will also be provided; dog towels, shampoo, bowls and some welcome treats. The courtyard is approximately 20 metres squared, has no grass and is only accessible through the house.

Region: Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Town: A charming seaside town set on the southern coast. The town of Dawlish offers all of the facilities for day-to-day living including a pleasant variety of shops, restaurants and cafés and a small theatre. Dawlish is famous for its Black Swans that live with other waterfowl on the Dawlish Water that runs through the central town park down to the sea, at night in the summer it is beautifully lit by strings of coloured lights. Dawlish comes with a wonderful, sandy beach with a crazy golf course also nearby, it is the perfect place for a family holiday. Up the coast is Dawlish Warren that can be reached by car or train or, for those energetic types, a walk along the sea wall. Further afield, Dawlish mainline station offers access to Exeter, Exmouth, Torquay, Paignton or even Plymouth, trains are plentiful.
