Super Cute Home located near Pearl Street

We had a fun stay at this property a few weeks ago. Super cute home with fun interior decor including exposed brick walls throughout the house. Loved the neighborhood and location to Pearl Street and all of its fun shops and restaurants. Property manager was very responsive when we discovered no internet upon our arrival and it was resolved very quickly.

This is a charming home in a great neighborhood, just a 10-15 minute walk to Pearl St. shops and 30 minute walk to CU campus. We arrived on a hot day with temps in the upper 80s. The air conditioner was working like a charm and was cool inside at 70 degrees upon our arrival. The home was clean and tastefully decorated. Comfortable, tasteful furniture. Kitchen well appointed. Plenty of towels, extra pillows, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, trash bags available. Appreciate the complimentary coffee and tea. Glad there was a recycle bin available. Also appreciate the availability of a humidifier, as the air in Boulder during our visit was extremely dry. We loved sitting out on the front porch during our down time. This property was perfect for our family of 4 for a visit to tour CU. There was lots of great local hiking close by. We had a very minor issue finding check-in access, but was quickly and easily remedied by contacting the VRBO customer service. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Nice looking place but disappointed

The house was not prepared for guests no lights on and the A/C was off when we arrived, it was a 90+ degree day, we traveled all day and I was super excited to finally get away after over a year of no travel . It was dark when we arrived and impossible to see up the steps, into the front door and in the house. The house was cooking inside, no A/C on and there was a note to please turn it off when no one is there. I guess they don't use A/C in Colorado? We dropped the thermostat to 70 to attempt to cool it off inside, left for an hour and came back to no change in the temp. The A/C unit could not keep up and cool the house down from such high temp from not being on at all during the day. We waited 2 more hours, no change in temp. At this point, we had to leave, it was too hot inside to sleep and we were exhausted. Unfortunately we had to spend additional money and get a hotel room cramming all of us into one room (which was not relaxing). I did text with Sasha and she tried to help, it was after 10PM so no A/C guy could come out. I was told to open the windows...(It was 85 degrees and smokey outside). The next day I was told the A.C was working fine and it was user error. Well I know that isn't true. I was traveling with two property managers and we all agreed it was the A/C could not keep up since I was not on. I was told no one had checked the house the day we had arrived, but the day prior it was. We only had one night left in Boulder and we could not risk the same thing happening again that night. I did get a refund for the first night which is why I am given two stars inside of one, but was not refunded the second night. Be careful as this house is not prepared for guests given my experience and it is rather pricey to not have the A/C on at all.

Hi Danny thanks for your thoughts. This is quite a misguided review. Unfortunately we tried everything to make Danny happy. He and his friends were the worst guests I have ever had to deal with and I have had hundreds of guests stay. In an effort to save energy and the environment we turn the AC DOWN to 80 degrees when guests are not there (the house was vacant for a few days before their arrival as well as turning lights off. I walked through and checked the house the day before their arrival to make sure all was well. Danny let me know at 10pm that the house was too warm for them. I made sure that they were setting the AC correctly and ask him to send me a photo of the thermosta. It showed the temperature in the house to be 76 degrees. He then called me at 10pm complaining that the house was unlivable and that they couldn't stay as if it was her 90 degrees inside. He called me again at 10:15pm and again at 10:30 pm all to complain even though I was doing everything I could at that hour to make them comfortable. I had already set up our AC guy to come first thing in the morning to take a look for them but agreed if that was too warm for them that we would be happy to refund that night. The AC guy came in the am and let me know all was working well and that the it is 100 degrees outside that AC units in any home can have a hard time keeping up. At that point the temperature in the house was 70 degrees. He changed the filter and made sure everything was working as it should be. I let Danny know at 10am that everything was working fine and that it was nice and cool inside and he still did not want to stay. I dont know if Danny was expecting 60 degrees inside but in a heritage home in Boulder that is just not possible. I think Danny and his friends are better suited to stay in hotels as they seem to have unrealistic expectations when staying in someones home. Danny was very rude and entitled and I would not recommend him to any host.

Perfect!

This house is amazing! It is in a very nice neighborhood close to Pearl Street (walking distance). The pictures online are accurate. This is really one of the nicest rental houses I have stayed in. Spotless! Super clean! As you are searching for houses in the Boulder area, pay careful attention to air conditioning. This house has REAL central heat/air. It can get into the 90s in the summer. Street parking (easy). Keyless entry (easy). Highly, highly, highly recommend!

Very nice property in a great location. A little more attention to the detail would go a long way

The property was very nice. I believe it is a two flat converted into a single family. Tasteful decor and great location. Everything was in working order. However, the set up for a rental was lacking. A little more management would go a long way. Most rentals I’ve stayed in had towels hung in the bathrooms, easy to use and well stocked coffee machine and a level of amenities expected at this price point. Great property, just a few tweaks needed

Delightful Boulder villa

Our family stayed here for four nights, and we greatly enjoyed this home. The three bedrooms were quite comfortable, the two full bathrooms were beautiful and roomy and the ample-sized kitchen had everything that we needed. We appreciated the air conditioning, as it was in the mid-90's every day. The home is on a charming, quiet street and is an easy walk to Pearl Street. We will surely be back!

This home is lovely with much attention paid to the details important to travelers. It's a quick 10 minute walk to Pearl Street mall. The surrounding neighborhoods are very nice and made for great morning and evening strolls. Centrally located to all Boulder attractions. Owner provided great communication before, during and after rental.

The house is beautiful and the location is great for walking to Pearl Street and CU campus. The neighborhood is very nice and the home provided a very wonderful stay. The beds were very comfortable after days filled with lots of hiking. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The linens and towels were fresh and soft. The kitchen was easy to use, although admittedly we mostly ate out at all the great restaurants on Pearl Street. We'll definitely be back!

Perfect Location. Perfect for Kids.

We've stayed in Boulder a few times and were thrilled to find a place in this neighborhood. It was walking distance to all the shops on Pearl and Walnut but still quiet. We brought our 2-year-old along, and the space was well-equipped and perfectly located to keep him happy and comfortable. There was a pack-n-play and a high chair for him. And just 4 blocks away was a beautiful elementary school playground that he just loved. The hostess was very responsive and helpful with questions leading up to and during our stay. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks!
