Welcome to Deer Hall! Relax on the open porch & enjoy the mountain views. Totally remodeled in the past couple of years. Upgrades galore with custom kitchen cabinets, soft close drawers, heated bathroom floor,newer flooring and more. Convenient to the Appalachian Trail, Fontana Lake and Dam, Tsali Recreation area Nantahala Outdoor Center & only minutes to the Tail of the Dragon. Each bedroom has a queen size bed plus the living room has a new couch with a queen bed. Fully equipped kitchen with Keurig coffee maker, new dishwasher, refrigerator, range and new stack w/d. Relax on the open porch with rocking chairs and a picnic table for outdoor dining. Wood burning fireplace, outdoor fire pit and a charcoal grill for your use. Charcoal for first grilling and plenty of firewood are provided. Tiled heated bathroom floor with shower/tub combo.
Dogs are permitted but prior acceptance by host is required. No cats are permitted. ****Please disclose age and breed of dog when making a reservation. You must have host approval for you dog. A max of 2 dogs, both under 70 lbs, at least 1 year old and housebroken.
Board games and books for your enjoyment.
There is a HD flat screen TV with Firestick, Netflix, Amazon Prime plus DVDs as well. Wi-Fi is available with STARLINK. FYI, cell service is limited throughout the county.
Cable Cove is 14 minutes away for swimming and boating at Lake Fontana. Fontana Dam and visitor center and The Nantahala Outdoor Center with white water rafting and zip line are approximately 20-25 minutes away. Hurrahs Casino is about a 35-minute drive. Groceries, beer and wine can be purchased at Ingles grocery in Robbinsville approximately 20 minutes away. Alcohol is available for purchase in Bryson City or Murphy.
The road to the cabin is single lane and gravel. The driveway is uphill and gravel but 4 WD or AWD are NOT REQUIRED. ***We do not recommend motorcycle riders book the cabin due to the gravel road and driveway.

Host was a good communicator. She made us feel welcome and even provided some eggs and homemade jam for our stay. She advertised the property was pet friendly and indeed she had several amenities for our pet. The house was exactly as advertised.
A pet bed was provided as well as dog treats.

Amazing cabin

The cabin was perfect. The host was amazing. She had the cabin stock with everything you might need and more. She thought of everything. We had a great weekend and will definitely go back.

Hidden gem in the mountains of NC!

My wife and I came up from Florida and stayed here for a few days and it was perfect! The owner staged the property beautifully - right down to the tiniest of details... If you are looking for a mountain getaway, this is the place to stay!

Deer Hall

Had a great time there. Cabin is well furnished with everything you cold want. The deck is a wonderful place to set in the evenings and watch the hummingbirds. The owner replied very fast to any question and supplied great information. Not far from Fontana Dam, great place to visit.

Well kept cabin

Cabin was very clean each time we have stayed there. Care has been taken by the owners to provide useful items in the kitchen and bathroom. Nice deck to enjoy sitting outside.

Cozy Cabin

The cabin was very cozy nestled in the mountain.We really enjoyed it and plan on staying there in the future.Just missed not being able to bring my fur babies. But over all a very nice stay...A home away from home...

Home Away from Home

We loved our stay at Deer Hall! It had anything and everything we could have needed to make our stay comfortable. Amelia was quick to respond to any questions we had and we just loved the fresh eggs and homemade jam..what a treat! We also appreciated the fact our pup could come with us. The vibe is cabin. It's well cared for and it was clean. and Aimee was very communitive. The only difficulty as Aimee says in the listing is getting up the short driveway. I have AWD and a locking differential I engaged and I had to give it gas to get up the short hill. Otherwise, the overall experience was great.

Motorcycle trip

The property was nice however it was a gravel road and a steep driveway that would not accommodate our motorcycle and trailer. We ended up leaving and finding other alternative lodging.
