Kahana Sunset ist ein Strand-Resort an der weltberühmten Westküste von Maui zwischen Kaanapali und Kapalua. Am weißen Sandstrand der geschützten Bucht von Keoni Nui können Sie mit Schildkröten und tropischen Fischen schwimmen und schnorcheln. Maui Stay

The property was ideally located adjacent to the Kapalua properties. The beaches and nearby walking trails were excellent. Restaurants were nearby and cooking at the property was easy to do.

Great property

This condo was a perfect setup for a family of 5. It was super clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and we used the outdoor grills multiple times. There were beach chairs, toys and snorkel gear that we were not expecting. The pool was warm and very clean. The only downfall was that the tide was high and we weren’t able to use the beach at all. The location is great and an easy drive to other beaches in the area. Will definitely rent here again.

Amazing Views and Location

The ocean views at this property can’t be beat. The grounds were beautiful and sights from the lanai were amazing. The condo had plenty of room for our family of six. We enjoyed our stay very much.

2025 10 day stay

We stayed here for 10 days and everything was great. It was clean and had everything we needed and more. It was quiet, the beds were comfy, and the lanais were wonderful to have in the morning. The view is spectacular!

Really lovely stay

We had a fantastic time. The view is amazing and the place is very well appointed (they have a fully stocked kitchen and more). We were pleased with the property as a whole and the parking was super easy too! We can't wait to hopefully come back and stay at this paradise again soon. 10/10 in our book.

Fun but frustrating

This unit is beautiful and in a wonderful location. We booked this unit last minute and were happy to get it. Unfortunately we had some issues with wiring issues and many of the outlets in the unit did not work. Since we arrived on a Saturday we did not see an electrician until Monday. It took him 2 days to fix the issue. We still had a wonderful time with family who was renting another unit at Kahana Sunset. We also had issues with the tvs. Still enjoyed the property.

Spring Break in Maui

We had a wonderful stay at Kahana Sunset - A Honu World. We came for Spring Break and while being on the west side adds time to any Maui adventure, the sunsets were worth it. We enjoyed seeing a turtle on the beach, the pool was lovely and working with the Mary was easy. I appreciated the tips about the area both in email before we arrived and in the guest book. The unit was perfect for our family of 5 and the kids loved their room. There could be a few more cooking items - cup measures, trays for using the grill, a pineapple corer (wonderful tool). On the whole though, we had everything we needed. If we ever make it back to Maui, we would stay at Kahana again!

Nice stay on Maui

View from the deck was amazing, we watched whales every day. Kitchen was well stocked, had everything you could want. Appreciated the convenience of a washer and dryer. Our second time staying here and would do it again.

Comfortable and great view

Christmas in West Maui

We very much enjoyed our stay at this condo during the week of Christmas 2023. The property is just as advertised in the listing. The unit is thoughtfully stocked with everything you will need and many other extras. Location is nice - quiet area, less than a mile from Napili beach and shopping and restaurants at Napili plaza. Kaanapali beach and Whaler’s village are an easy 15 minute drive away. You will enjoy your stay in this unit.

Fantastic!!

We loved our condo! It was perfect for our family of 4 with two teens. Gorgeous ocean/sunset/rainbow views (yes, there were frequently rainbows I could see out my window when i woke up in the am!). Kitchen was completely stocked with everything you need. Even really nice beach chairs/umbrella & boogie board/toys to take to the beach! Very clean, great location (we walked to the coffee shop each day), quiet and relaxing! Loved it an highly recommend!!

Beautiful location!

Picturesque location and views.. . Loved the private beach and pool. Property was as described and was fully stocked with everything we needed. Property manager was responsive and graciously arranged a late checkout so we could enjoy an extra couple hours. Overall a perfect spot for our family’s first visit to Hawaii!

Absolutely loved this condo! We brought our family of six for my son’s graduation and it was perfect. All of the beds are exceptionally comfortable. The view is breathtaking from both balconies (one off of the master and one off of the living room). The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner. We also appreciated the beach towels and sunscreen. We swam with the turtles and snorkeled every day in the bay. Excellent location to Kapalua and Black Rock. This condo was a real gem. Location was great and peaceful. The view was amazing. I would recommend.

Kahana Sunset "A Honu World" is Fantastic!

We love staying at Kahana Sunset with its ocean front location and beautiful grounds and this unit gives you a gorgeous view of the entire property and ocean. We stayed for 10 days and found the condo well equipped for cooking (Our family enjoys cooking and making special meals while in Maui) and stocked with staple items so we didn't have to buy everything at the grocery store as well as many "extras" we weren't expecting like shampoo, conditioner, lotion, sunscreen, etc.! My advice is to go to the unit before you go to Safeway/Foodland! I would say that the property was clean overall, but I did have to wipe the fridge out a little bit to get out some bits of produce left in the produce drawer. Check-in was a little concerning when the code we were given didn't work, but we were in fast contact with the property manager, Carol, who gave us another code that worked successfully. And Carol did go above and beyond in my opinion when we inquired if the unit had a broiler pan (we couldn't find one) and she went to the store and bought a roasting pan for us that day so we could make our ribs! Overall D4 felt like a home away from home in paradise. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us Mary, we hope to return soon!

Perfect Maui Location

Absolutely loved this rental. The property was well maintained, rental manager was super quick to respond to any request. Pool area and small beach are great, you can see turtles there almost every day. We also rented paddle boards and launched from there, paddled WAY out into the channel and ended up having whales come up around us within 20 yards! Saw whales from our deck EVERY day. (Jan 4th-14th stay) Grocery store and restaurants close. Napili and kapalua bay beaches really close, and Lahaina is just a short drive. Would definitely stay here again.

We are Southern Californians who were introduced to Kahana Sunset by another family.. Nick and I began coming here 30 years ago with our young family. Kahana Sunset/West Maui has become our home away from home. Our daughter graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in Chemistry and is now finishing a PhD in Polymer Engineering, our son graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in biology and is working in the financial services industry now.. They grew up at Kahana Sunset catching lizards and geckos, swimming, snorkeling, skim and paddle boarding. They spent, and continue to spend, their days from the morning until well into the evening active, and making friends that they have stayed in contact with for many years. We have never worried about the kids in this beautiful and healthy environment.

Nick and I spend our days in or around the water of Keoni Nui bay. We usually end our day watching the whales, amazing sunsets, and numerous stars.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Kahana Sunset was a choice we made after spending time at resorts on other parts of the island and always finding ourselves comparing where we were with Kahana Sunset. Kahana Sunset always came out on top.

Nick is a golfer and scored a hole-in-one during a tournament at Kapalua, Bay Course. One of the gifts was a couple of free nights at the Ritz Carlton. On our next trip, we planned on spending the first nights at the Ritz and then the next two weeks at Kahana Sunset. Within a couple of hours of checking into the hotel, our son asked how much longer did we have to stay there, and could we just go to Kahana Sunset. I think that sums up how the entire family feels.

The views of paradise from your balcony include the Pacific, pool and garden. You will find that the spirit of aloha is alive and well at Kahana Sunset.
