We would have been happy to assist with planning around peak traffic times, as the drive into Lisbon typically takes about 25 minutes. Weekday mornings heading into the city and late afternoons returning can get busy, while on sunny weekends traffic often flows toward the beach. Unfortunately, occasional accidents can cause delays beyond anyone’s control. Perhaps staying in Lisbon would have been more convenient for your itinerary. That said, you might have missed out on the expansive ocean views, the short walk to the beach, the ample space, and the ease of parking—all of which we hope added value to your experience. It’s also possible that the difficulty locating the apartment on arrival—and mistakenly heading to a different address, which hasn’t happened with any previous guest—shaped your early impression of the area. As for the comment about clothes hanging outside, this is a very typical part of life in Portuguese residential neighborhoods and not generally considered a reflection of the area’s quality. The apartment is located in one of Caparica’s most desirable areas—São João—known for its privacy, views, and relaxed charm by the sea.
