Elizabeth Cottage is an adorable romantic retreat, nestled in the quintessentially English village of West Lulworth, gateway to the famous Jurassic Coast. This detached "chocolate box" thatch, once a Tudor toll house is said to have been in the family of Anne Boleyn. The cottage exudes a warm charm, making for a perfect cosy getaway or special occasion.
Period features including inglenook fire place, low ceilings, roll top bath and quaint bedrooms add to the ambience of this coastal hide away. Within a short stroll, you will find the village pub, The Castle Inn, which serves delicious food and local ales (closed Mon-Weds throughout the winter). Slightly further into the village you can enjoy fine dining at The Limestone or Lulworth Lodge and many boutique eateries, along with a fish and chip shop and ice cream parlour. Groceries may be purchased at the villiage store, fresh fish at the cove.
The famous Cove is less than a mile away and an easy flat stroll. From here you can enjoy a walk on the pebble beach or perhaps enjoy a "Lulworth rib ride" and take in the sights you simply cannot see on land. For those that are keen walkers, a steep stroll will take you over the hill to Durdle Door, simply breath taking sights to be seen and never forgotten.
After a busy day retreat to your warm cosy cottage and enjoy the evening sunshine in the pretty garden.
Please note this property does have a steep stair case with a turn, may be unsuitable for those that find stairs a challenge.
