NEW FOR 2023.
A rural retreat in the countryside on the outskirts of Marazion, Champagne Cottage has been completely renovated with a modern elegant style. With everything you need for your romantic getaway and within close proximity to the best beaches and places to visit in west Cornwall. A super-king bed for those long-awaited lazy mornings and a super comfy sofa for relaxing in front of the fire with a good book or enjoying a film on the large television, it is perfect all year round. Ideal for couples, there is a second room with a double sofa bed that can be made up for little ones on request. Minutes from Marazion, it’s a cottage to relax and unwind with comfort at the heart.

Entering the bedroom via the spiral staircase, the first floor feels almost open-plan to the ground floor as the staircase connects and leads you into this light, spacious room. There is an en-suite bathroom with a free-standing slipper bath and a separate shower. It’s an indulgent modern bathroom and perfect for whiling some time after a busy day of activities. Outside there is a fully enclosed paved garden with a table and chairs to dine alfresco. If you are bringing your four-legged friend they will be secure in the outside space with the high fencing. There is so much to explore by foot from here with the coast within easy reach as well as a choice of country trails. Champagne Cottage is a welcoming base to explore from and is also ideal, with the comfort it offers, to arrive and stop, leave the car and make the most of the walks on your doorstep.

LOCATION
Located on a farm that manages horses, Champagne Cottage is perfectly placed in a rural setting with the benefit of an easy drive out to explore and enjoy west Cornwall. The area is a world heritage site and surrounded by stunning countryside and coast.
Although tucked away, Champagne Cottage is only five minutes to Marazion and its glorious beach. Travelling East it is under ten minutes to Perranuthnoe, a pretty cove with the award-winning Victoria Inn and a little further Praa Sands with laid back beach bar and fantastic surf.
It’s a perfect spot for touring the wider West Cornwall too and St Ives, Penzance, Mousehole and Sennen are all in easy reach as well as Porthleven to the East which is a go to foodie destination.

LIVING
Entering into the cottage there is a hallway area to store coats and shoes and this opens up into the dining and living area. This open plan space is separated by the spiral staircase in the centre of the room. There is a comfortable sofa and armchair to relax in front of the wood burner and a large TV to enjoy film nights together. The cottage boasts a built-in sound system too so that you can enjoy your music or a pod-cast in each room. Off the living area is the study with a second TV and sofa bed. This room also has a desk and a chair if you are looking to work during your holiday.. The sofa can be made up as a double on request.

COOKING & EATING
The fabulous kitchen opens onto the living/dining area and has everything you need to cater to your culinary needs. It’s finished to a high standard with an electric oven and hob, integrated under-the-counter fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine.
The dining table comfortably seats four to enjoy long evening gatherings with a Cornish seafood feast. On that note – if you’d like a special event or any night of the week catered for do ask, we have some superb local contacts.

SLEEPING
MASTER BEDROOM: This bed! The super-king bed is perfect for slower starts each day. There are bedside tables and bedside lights on the wall. There is a dressing table and chair under one of the windows and a chest of drawers. The bedroom is accessed via a spiral staircase and at the top of the stairs is open into the bedroom; there is no door.
GROUND FLOOR STUDY: The study off the living area can be used as a second bedroom on request. It is suitable for one adult or two little ones, if they don’t mind sharing a bed. Please be mindful of the spiral staircase as the bathroom is the en-suite on the first floor, accessed via the master bedroom. Please enquire if you have any questions.

BATHING
The luxurious en-suite bathroom is on the first floor. There is a slipper bath and separate shower. There is a cupboard which is ideal for storing away luggage bags.
Please bear in mind that if anyone is sleeping in the study on the ground floor they will enter the bathroom via the main bedroom.

OUTSIDE
To the rear of the property is a fully enclosed patio area with a table and chairs. Enjoy an afternoon cream tea in the sun or dine alfresco on those evenings where it’s just too good to be inside. Accessed via the dining area it’s the perfect place to safely store bikes and surfboards.

SHORT BREAKS
Champagne Cottage is available for short breaks for a minimum of three nights with flexible changeover days out of season. Do check with us if your dates don't quite fit as we will always try to help.

USEFUL TO KNOW...
PARKING: There’s plenty of parking available outside the cottage.

ELECTRIC CARS: A dedicated EV charging point for sole use by Champagne Cottage on request (a minimal charge will apply).

WI-FI: Fast wifi (Up to 15MB) broadband means you can stay connected.

HEATING: With underfloor heating throughout and a wood burner in the living area you will be toasty throughout the cooler months.

PETS: One well-behaved dog is welcome at £35 per week/short break.

Far West Cornwall is doggie heaven! There’s plenty of beaches and coast paths for exploring. Please make sure they stay out of bedrooms and off the furniture and that you rub down muddy/sandy feet before they come in.

LINEN & TOWELS: You'll have bedding & towels but please bring your own beach towels.

UTILITY: There is a washing machine, airer, iron and ironing board.

ACCESSIBILITY: Three steps lead down to the property. There are spiral stairs within the cottage so it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility or young children but do check with us prior to booking.

Beautiful Cottage
The cottage itself is very nice. Marazion is a good place for lot‘s of places to visit. The „Street“ to the cottage is a desaster but you get used to it 😏 In the overall recommendable

Easy walking distance into Marazion. Very quiet although some road noise can be heard when bedroom window is open. Accommodation was lovely and clean.
