The house is far more beautiful than the pictures suggest, and right on the edge of the provincial Park, looking out over one of the best places in the province to go birdwatching. The only hiccup was not being able to use the hot tub on the first night because we didn’t receive the correct code for the lock, contacted the host in the morning and received a response in the afternoon. Loved using the tub and the sauna, the beds were comfortable, all the rooms were impeccably clean. Everything was labelled and easy to find. Can’t speak to the Air hockey table because we never got a chance to use it, but would for sure stay again if I’m in the area.

Great place to stay with family...

Fantastic location and house. So well equipped for cooking and relaxing. Lots of space for the 11 of us to be together, that dining table is amazing, but lots of different smaller spaces for us to hang out in smaller groups. Super clean, comfy beds, fun kayaks and fabulous Sauna. Would highly recommend for family gathering.

Positives: The cottage was very nice and spacious, it can easily fit 12 people. The Hot Tub and Sauna were are pretty good. We really liked the open space and large dining table. Other:1. Unsafe Access Due to Snow and IceUpon arrival, the cottage and stairs were completely covered in snow, making access unsafe. I reported this immediately. The host initially stated someone would come to clear the snow the next day. However, when I followed up, the host reversed this and stated no one would come at all. This created a clear safety hazard for our group.2. Extremely Cold Indoor Temperature and Locked ThermostatWhen we arrived, the cottage was extremely cold and not properly heated. The thermostat was locked by the host and set to auto, repeatedly reverting to 21C. This temperature was insufficient to warm the house, especially in winter conditions. After repeatedly asking, the host reluctantly adjusted it to 24C, but we lost most of Friday night trying to warm the house.3. Undisclosed Induction Stove – Unable to CookThe cottage had an induction stove, which was not disclosed in the listing. None of the cookware we brought was compatible. We were a group of 12 people and required larger pots for cooking, which were unusable. As a result, we were unable to prepare meals on the first night. I reported this issue to VRBO support as well, but with the host unresponsive, there was no solution.4. Host Non-Responsiveness During Critical Period

Great cabin

Its a great cabin, and spotlessly clean. Well stocked with top of the line pots & pans on an induction stove, blenders, everything you'd need to cook as a family and enjoy the space and outdoors. They even had a high chair. Very thoughtful. My only complaint is having to deal with trash disposal ourselves, which is listed on the property description, so not a surprise. Also, if you are staying with elderly folks, there are no rooms on the middle floor, only in the basement and the top floor, which can be inconvenient. Other than that, I'd recommend the property to everyone.

Great location!

The location of this apartment was very convinient to the convention center, blue jays stadium, and the maples leafs arena. Apartment was clean overall. Could use a slightly larger couch. It wasnt really an issue but when we received the check in instructions it became obvious that short term rentals were not allows in this condo complex. We were told not to talk to the security guards and to tell them we were visiting the owner if anyone asked. It was never an issue but still concerned us a little.

The concierge of a residential building is there to assist residents of the building only, not short term guests. Therefore, I provide my guests with very detailed instructions to ensure a smooth check in and I am always available in case they have any questions or require clarification. Brighton trip

We loved it here! Lots of room for all of us. The accommodations were amazing. We loved being within biking distance of the provincial park. The beaches there were awesome. And we also enjoyed being close to the boat dock for fishing and launching our boat.

We had 8 people stay in this beautiful log cabin for 5 days. The cottage was very spacious and clean. It was so quiet and peaceful. The proximity to the provincial park was an added bonus. Would definitely consider staying here again!

Lovely and convenient

We stayed at this home with family. The house is amazing — nice size rooms, many bathrooms, a game room with air hockey and foosball, and television with cable and Netflix. Immaculate and beautifully furnished. There is a dock across the street where we fished and launched the kayak; swans visited us there, which was a thrill! The house is close to town and the beautiful Presqu'ile Park. There is a nice fire pit outside where we warmed up and had s’mores every night. A major disappointment was that instead of two kayaks as promised there was only one and when we brought that to the attention of the owner his response was rather flippant. The kitchen, while gorgeous, didn’t have a few basic amenities such as a large bowl to fit in the microwave or any covered (casserole)dishes; there were virtually no condiments there (oil/vinegar) which would have been helpful to have. Be advised you need to take the garbage/recycling away to the local landfill, which is about 15 minutes away. The cost there was $13 versus leaving it in the house to be charged $30. That being said we really enjoyed our time there.

Family Getaway

We are a family of 12 ranging from 5 years old to 80+ who were looking for a mini vacation. This cottage was a perfect size for us all. There was room for everyone to sleep comfortably in a bed. There were lots of activities in different parts of the house (cards, conversations, board games, movies) and never felt like one interfered with the other. On-site amenities were great. We used the fire pit every night. Someone used the sauna and enjoyed it as well as the kayaks. Foosball and air hockey tables were a nice touch as well for the rainy day in. Minutes to Presqu’ile Provincial Park, under 40 minutes to Cobourg Beach, and minutes from several farmers markets. We would definitely stay here again!

Location is close to Presqu'ile park/beach. As advertised. Please note that the owner request that you have to take all the trash with you on check out otherwise they will charge you. There are no trash / recycle bins on site. Landfill is at 15 minutes by car from the property. Also, please note landfill will charge you 13$ per bag.

Splendid vacation retreat from a fantastic host

I stayed at this wonderful cottage with several friends this past week. First of all, the cottage is breathtaking with many spacious rooms, has a gorgeous kitchen, contains tons of amenities, and is beautifully furnished. The place was clean when we arrived and there was a lovely note from the owner welcoming us to their home (along with a box of chocolate)! There is plenty to do at the cottage, including lounging in the entertainment area (with air hockey and foosball tables), watching movies or TV shows on the many large screen TVs, warming up in the sauna, fishing at the dock right across the street, or taking the short walk or drive down to the nearby Presqu'ile Park for a day at the beach or to wander through some of the hiking trails. After a long day of fun, it was always lovely to return home to a nice shower in one of three bathrooms and to sleep in the large and soft beds. The amount of rooms means that everyone got to sleep comfortably to recharge for the next day. The owner was very accommodating, responsive, and professional. Overall, our stay was incredible and my friends and I made many great memories over the past week. We cannot recommend this lovely place enough and offer our many thanks to the owner.

Excellent!

Our stay was wonderful! The place is as advertised, comfortable, clean, well stocked and at an excellent location. The free parking was a definite plus. The owner was super quick in responses for any questions that we had. We will definitely stay here again if needed.

We had a great stay. Arthur was quick to respond to all our questions. The sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. The view and location we're fantastic.

Business Trip

Although the location was very convenient to the Expo Center, we were very disappointed in the property. First of all, what we saw in the pictures online were not what we found when we arrived. The place is small, it says it sleeps 6 but there is only 2 bedrooms and a chesterfield so not sure where the 6th person would sleep. The furniture was old, stain on the chesterfield and the towels were old and hard. We only have 4 facecloths for 5 of us for 4 days. What really bothered us was the fact that we were not allowed to talk to anyone in the hallway or elevators and were told to tell the security that we were visiting..........it felt deceit and I was not comfortable lying. Saturday night the sewer backed up and fortunately for the owner we were there to bail out the sewer water and clean up the mess. We were not able to cook our supper or enjoy our evening because of the smell and yet the owner was not willing to compensate us for the inconvenience. This is the first time I have used Vrbo and will not be using them again. I was very disappointed.

Barb stayed at my 2 bedroom condo in downtown Toronto. It’s a 900 sq feet condo and has 2 queen size beds that sleep 2 people on each bed and an IKEA sofa bed that is a size of a Queen size bed once pulled out which could sleep 2 people as well. My condo is located in a family oriented residential building - not a hotel - therefore she was provided with detailed instructions and house rules which respect the privacy and wellbeing of the neighbours. Unfortunately, on one of the nights there was a building wide clog in one of the main building pipes. Barb and her guests informed me immediately and I promptly contacted the emergency plumber who came on site and fixed the issue the same evening. Even though the issue was out of my control, I did my best to get it resolved as soon as I could.
