Thank you for your review and for your lovely comments about the lodge. We are so pleased you found it clean, comfortable and well equipped, and that you slept so well. Your 5/5 ratings in those areas mean a lot to us. We’re sorry the location didn’t fully meet your expectations. As outlined in our listing, the lodge is set on a small, quiet marina in the village of Brundall. The outlook is primarily over the marina waterside setting, with neighbouring lodges also forming part of the landscape. Our boatyard building is visible beyond the marina water along with the jetty and slipway which the swans, ducks and our local heron frequent. It is a peaceful setting, often very quiet as you mentioned which many guests enjoy along with the wildlife which visit and can be viewed from the terrace and garden areas. It's location is tucked into the marina so we understand it may not suit everyone. We appreciate your comments regarding walking from the lodge. While there isn’t direct riverbank access on-site, there are some lovely walks just a short distance away and we share these in our guest communication prior to arrival via email with a link to the guest planner and the website which has a great deal of local information in our explore pages. With regards to service, we operate a self check-in system to give guests flexibility and privacy and unfortunately we don't get to see every guest, but we’re always on hand if needed, including out of hours. We take great care behind the scenes to ensure each lodge is presented to a high standard prior to guests arrival and we work extremely hard in the background to provide a smooth holiday accommodation service with lots of information our guests require ahead of time for a stress free break and assistance just an email or call away for any queries. We’re really pleased you enjoyed the lodge itself and your review will give future guests a clearer picture of the location so that they can decide if it will be suitable for them, so we thank you for taking the time to leave feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to review River Bay. As we had discussed, the weather conditions had made the river weed grow very quickly in a short space of time and we did come to clear it as soon as we could in the week that you were there. We are pleased you enjoyed the lodge and location.

Thank you so much for your 5* review! It means a lot to us. There should be instructions in the drawer for the hob so I'll check out where that has disappeared to and replace. It's an induction hob so your pan has to be placed on the hob for it to work.
