I will let our years of consistent 5 star reviews and wonderful repeat guests speak to the quality and cleanliness of our home. It certainly appears that your review was an attempt to get back at us for having to keep your deposit after the damage you caused. The response from Jenny the day after you checked in (an entire day of you being there) was “Your place is absolutely gorgeous. The pics are great but in person is better.” This is not the comment a person would send that arrived to a home where the cleaning was “atrocious “. I am very particular about the cleanliness of our home. We have rented our home to many retired couples over the years. This is the very first time we’ve dealt with this sort of treatment of our home. Breaking high end decor and lying about it, damaging paint, damaging furniture, cracking the drawer in the refrigerator. The fact that you spent your time rearranging everything in the house in an effort to what I can only guess was to hide the fact that you broke items is highly unusual. What you did not realize is I was at the house 1/8 prior to your check-in on 1/11 and no I did not have Covid. That’s just another interesting lie you added to your review. As far as the pantry space goes, time and time again our guests have appreciated the home being well stocked. We have a large pantry. The refrigerator is always thoroughly cleaned with condiments left in the doors. Some of the homes on island require you to bring absolutely everything including paper products. You complained about the pool temp being at 85 on cloudy, rainy, windy days with highs in the 60’s. Yes it did take a day to get pool up to temp. That is normal when temperatures overnight are in the low 50’s. I suggest next time you travel looking for a hot tub. Wi-Fi was out for 3-4 hours one day. That day I received txt from Comcast that internet was down for the whole area. I screen shot this txt and sent to you to make you aware it was a provider issue. You also complained about the beach sand on the outdoor furniture. I feel this should be self explanatory but when it is windy and you are at the beach the beach sand blows in the wind. Lastly, when you guys left the checkout message I received from you was “Thank you so much. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay”. Again, not a comment someone would leave if it was as awful as you stated. You only sent the nasty message after the damage was discovered and addressed. I can only say if this were my typical experience renting our home out I would not rent it. Please know we are deeply rooted in our small Palm Island community and have made private owners as well as rental agencies aware of your names and the damage you caused. Being a small community we all look out for each other
