Overlooking the spectacular gulf dominated by the island of Tavolara, Olbia is the main tourist destination of northern Sardinia. With its international port and airport, its beautiful scenery, its history and traditions, it boasts an exceptional tourist offer. The medieval Basilica of San Simplicio and the Archaeological Museum, which exhibits finds from Nuragic artifacts to Roman warships, stand out in the city center, while the archaeological site Nuraghe Riu Mulinu overlooks the gulf from the hills just outside the city.
