My husband and I moved to this beautiful part of France in 2022 after many years living on the Isle of Man. We instantly fell in love with the area, its peaceful countryside and incredible opportunities for outdoor living. During the winter months, this is our home, and in the summer we travel in our motorhome with our 2 little dogs, while guests enjoy the house and everything the region has to offer.
I am originally from Slovakia, and my husband is from South Africa. We met while living on the Isle of Man and have shared many adventures together ever since. Our international backgrounds have given us a real appreciation for hospitality, travel, and creating welcoming spaces where people can feel comfortable and at home.
I am an amateur triathlete and one of the main reasons we chose this location is because it offers everything I need to train in one place. I can swim in our pool, cycle along the quiet and scenic country roads, and run through the beautiful surrounding countryside. Cycling enthusiasts will be pleased to know that some of the routes nearby were featured in the 2024 Tour de France. We are also within easy reach of the Atlantic coast and Biarritz, making it a fantastic base for endurance sports, active holidays, or simply enjoying the outdoors.
My husband often joins me on bike rides, sometimes with our little dogs happily travelling in their baskets. Professionally, he works in IT and understands how important reliable internet is, especially for guests who may need to work remotely while travelling. As a result, we have invested in fast, dependable internet coverage throughout the house. He also takes great pride in maintaining the garden.
As hosts, we genuinely want our guests to have a relaxing and memorable stay. We’ve created a home that combines comfort and practicality. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat, an active holiday, or a comfortable place to work remotely while exploring the region, we hope you’ll feel at home here.
