This is a duplex style apartment, kitchen/lounge on the ground floor with the bedrooms on the upper floor. The bedrooms each has its own en-suite showers with modern vessel bowls and each one opens completely onto a romantic private upper-level balcony with comfortable seating. The lower level of the apartment boasts a large, open concept living space and American style kitchen that also opens completely to a private level lower terrace. There is a flat screen TV with built in firestick, internet, local telephone, private parking, a communal pool, and all the furnishings necessary for an extremely comfortable stay. A short five minute walk will bring you premier shopping, dining, cinemas, cafes and bars at The Limegrove Center and also the stunning Settlers Beach.
The apartment is strictly no smoking inside or terraces.

A gem

We were delighted with the property, it’s spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The location is perfect, just a ten minute walk into Holetown. Communication with the owner was excellent , we would highly recommend this property.

Great place to stay

We had a fabulous time staying here. The villa was spotless and Andrea was very helpful on check in. the location is great with only a short walk to the beach and all the restaurants.

Had great holiday would rent again.

First the owner of the property was a pleasure to deal with and she answered any questions about the rental very promptly. The rental was as described, it was with in walking distance of everything, groceries , shopping, dining and we did not need to rent a car to get around. Very safe area and we did not feel uncomfortable at anytime. We were met on our arrival my a very nice lady (Andrea) who let us in and showed us where very thing was and how to use it. The pool area is relatively small but is very private and clean. There was no one else in the pool besides us for most of our two week stay and then only 4-6 people. The beach is near by and is beautiful and we were able to find a spot with shade where we could spend most of the day swimming and reading. Some nice restaurants in the area, I would recommend Zuccios and Spago they were excellent. Zuccios overlooks the bay is a great place to watch the sunset. If there was one draw back and I consider it very minor, some of the furniture is showing some wear and the paint could use a little freshening up but overall we would highly recommend this property and would definitely go back again. Wonderful stay

From the very first message I sent to Joan, communication was top notch, all of our questions were answered promptly. Joan was great to deal with. The welcome package she sent is so detailed. The location couldn’t be better minutes away from a beautiful beaches. A 10 min walk will get you to the grocery store and many of the restaurants. The apartment was well equipped with all you would need to prepare meals. As well as beach chairs and umbrellas. We had no problem staying within daily electric units . The air conditioning worked quickly to cool off the bedrooms and we were able to turn it off each evening keeping only the ceiling fan running. The downstairs patio was great place to sit and enjoy meals. The upper patio a great place to watch the monkeys who we saw almost every day. I did read a few other reviews that mentioned the dogs in the area barking and although we did hear them from time to time they were quiet at night. Overall we had an amazing stay and would love to stay again in the future.

Enjoyed our stay - for the most part.

Recently retired, my wife and I spent 12 nights in this unit. The unit is well appointed, and clean. The building and gardens are well maintained. Patio furniture very nice. The pool, although small, was always clean and refreshing. Comfortable loungers poolside. The building is situated in a residential area, with all the residential noises one would expect. The neighbors have 5 dogs, and they do bark much of the time. The walk to the beach is 7-10 minutes through a residential area. The walk to the Massey grocery store is 15 minutes. There are 3 refrigerators, 1 did not work, and the other 2 bar refrigerators proved too small for us to self cater. No BBQ's allowed anywhere on the property was very disappointing. The only time we had an issue with the stairs was in bringing up/down suitcases. These stairs will be challenging for the elderly/handicapped. Both bedrooms are on the top floor. We were not told before hand that there is a 15 kwh/day allotment of electricity, and that anything above this is chargeable. You will be asked to sign off on the meter reading upon checkin. We only used the AC in the bedroom at night, did not use the stove/oven and ended up with about a 30 unit surplus. There were no garbage bags or laundry soap in the unit when we arrived. The couch, the only piece of furniture in the sitting room, is very uncomfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would look elsewhere shoul we return to Barbados.

Fabulous apartment in a great location

First time to Barbados and what a great location this apartment is in. It's decorated so lovely and from the transfer with Andrew to Joan and her lovely apartment and Agnes who cleans the apartment, everything is arranged both professionally and with care, which for us was great. Great Apartment

Our stay in Holetown was our 8th but the first time at Ixora. We agreed it was the best place we stayed and would return. Joan was a pleasure to deal with- her responses to questions were prompt and she was most helpful. Agnes, the housekeeper, did a great job. Location- Ixora is in Jamestown Park,a quiet,safe neighborhood within easy walking distance to the beach ( we used Settlers Beach- easy access, shaded or sun if you prefer, beautiful beach, not crowded), Holetown ( Limegrove has many great restuarants like Relish and Pepenero, beach restuarants like Zaccio’s for casual dining as well as fine dining like The Sandpiper and The Tides), Massy’s Supermarket, great shops. We went to The Sandpiper for drinks and watch the sunset at Harolds Bar. We also walked out at night, used common sense caution, and were perfectly safe. The Apartment- good location within the Ixora building. Porch faces north so it’s cool and shaded all day. Also, it is only a few steps from the pool. The pool was clean and lounge chairs comfy. There was never very many people using the pool ( maybe because the beach is so convenient). Joan has provided beach chairs for your beach use. The apartment is clean and modern. The kitchen was small by American standards but had all the equipment you would want and we had no issue cooking there. The lounge could use an additional chair as it was a bit hard to sit four adults. But it was not a big issue. We found the beds comfy, the bathrooms clean. The only “ negative” regarding the apartment are the narrow, winding stairs, to the second floor bedrooms. They may be problematic for very old, very young, or people with mobility issues. One member of our party has Parkinson’s and it took a few tries before they devised a safe way of going up and down the stairs. The country of Barbados- beautiful, friendly people. For those who feel comfortable driving on the left, I would recommend a car rental so you can tour the whole island. Taxi’s are easy to get if you don’t have a car but are expensive and the cost really adds up. Some places to see while in the country- Bathsheba( stay a while and watch the surfers), St.John’s Church, St. James Church ( walking distance from Ixora), the George Washington House in Bridgetown, St Nicholas Abbey, Harrison’s Caves, Huntes Gardens. Take the Seaduced catamaran day trip ( Warren Yachting), duty free shopping. Watch the sunset and look for the Green Flash! Have fun!

Lovely property, great location. Nice people. Beautiful weather.

The property has everything you need for a comfortable holiday. Clean and spacious. The beds are really comfortable, and there are 2 terraces one up stairs and one down stairs. Well equipped kitchen if you decide to stay in and cook or hole town is on the doorstep with some fantastic restaurants. The pool area is a delight on those hot sunny days. Green monkeys visit most days in the garden. Beautiful beach only a short walk, 4/5 mins depending on how much rum you have had. Shops are also near by including a supermarket. We did hire a car to go to different beaches and to the east coast as it's beautiful there and very different. Agnes comes to clean once a week very nice lady. We will deffinatley be returning. We have met some lovely people who have been returning to these condominiums year after year. Thank you Joan (owner) for being so helpful.

Wonderful apartment

We have had a lovely holiday over Christmas 2018. This condominium has everything needed for a comfortable stay, with all mod cons and very comfortable beds. Hole town is a short walk and the beach is about 4 mins walk. Reggae bus is always available just 2 dollars to take you anywhere. Joan is very helpful it's easy to book even transfers were organised. The pool area is a welcome delight and is kept clean on a regular basis. Agnes is the manager and is helpful she comes and cleans and is always on the other end of the phone if you need her. We did hire a car to go and explore. Deffinatley will be returning with our friends.Sherrie, chris & mam

WOW! what a fantastic apartment....

If, like us, you are a little nervous at booking a place to stay for the first time, well fear not if booking The Ixora Kerensa. One of ten other apartments, set in a quiet location with a lovely pool, and within walking distance to restaurants, bars, high end shops and of course the beach it had everything we needed to make our stay so enjoyable. On arrival we were met by Agnes, Apartment Manager, who was so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Whilst we chose to eat out most of the time, the apartment is certainly well equipped to allow you to cook and enjoy alfresco dining. For us the only challenge was the very narrow stairs to the upstairs bedrooms which after a while we did get used to. We would highly recommend you stay you will not be disappointed - we will be returning. Thank you Joan, wonderful time spent in your apartment and of course Barbados is such a wonderful holiday location. John & Debbie

Modern villa by the beach

This was our first time staying in this beautiful villa and we loved it. Jamestown is a quiet, safe neighborhood and conveniently located near the beach, restaurants and shopping. The villa itself is modern, clean and comfortable. The apartment complex is secured and quiet. There was hardly anyone at the communal pool. Communication with Joan is great as well as with Agnes and the cleaning lady. We have already booked for next year.

Fabulous accommodation in a great location!

Amazing 2 bed split level apartment with everything one could wish for! Spotless, modern, spacious and within walking distance to the beach and Holetown. Fabulous Location

Fantastic location for those that want to walk to the beach, limegrove and restaurants. Excellent communication with the owner throughout. The description of the property was spot on. The accommodation was spotless and as a bonus even showed the BT and Sky live football!!!. Enjoyed the monkey watching at breakfast in the palm trees.

Amazing 2 bedroom apartment in Holetown

Lovely apartment in Holetown, very modern and couldn’t fault in one bit!! Loved the daily visits from the monkeys which we could view from our balcony. Walking distance to the local beach and shops although we did hire a car to explore the rest of the island. We will deffo return!

Absolutely lovely

My wife and have just returned from 2 very enjoyable weeks holiday at Ixora. The apartment really is a gem. On two floors, it is contemporary in design and not only beautifully furnished inside but also to the upper and lower large patio areas. We chose to dine in local restaurants but for those looking for a self catering holiday it contains every amenity. My only criticism being English is I think Joan should have forewarned us to take electrical adapters. For those who do not to hire a hire car the apartment centrally located and only a short 7/8 mins. walk to shops/restaurants in Holetown and the nearest beaches. In essence, this is an absolutely lovely, highly recommended apartment

Amazing Stay & property, Fantastic Manager $ Owner

This is a stunning property, located in the perfect location if you want to explore Holetown and the amazing beached and amenities, all within walking distance. Anything else you want to explore is very easily accessible from the condo. Again, the beaches, restaurants and amenities nearby are great and other attractions- Mullins Beach, Speightstown were a couple of faves, are minutes away by bus or car. We would also recommend the Steel Drum band at Surfside bar/Restaurant, just a short walk from the condo. Joan saved our vacation which had been impacted by another issue, offering quick, patient and informative assistance. The house manager, Agnes and her team were flawless, friendly and offered a perfect welcome and orientation for the stay. The property itself was pristine, super-modern yet comfortable, with all the comforts of home plus much, much more. The outside deck areas were so restful and real highlight of the condo; the pool was also fantastic. This is 5 star for so many reasons- the property itself, the perfect location and the owner/management team- you will have the stay of a lifetime in paradise! Thank you!

Fabulous apartment

Just returned from a fantastic holiday at the Ixora complex . The apartment was very modern and immaculately clean. It had everything you needed to make it home from home. A small pool in the complex that my children really enjoyed. It is walking distance to lots of shops , bars and the beach. We also had a few nights in 2 we'll know hotels on our trip. We would choose the Ixora apartment over any of them. It was just fabulous. I would highly recommend the Ixora 6

Excellent Stay

We stayed at this apartment for 10 days and it was perfect. We were met as organised by Agnes the lady who looks after the property having telephoned as instructed from the airport on arrival. She showed us around the property explain where things were kept. There was plenty of lines, towels and pool towels. She then ensured we had her contact details if we needed them. The apartment was exactly as described in the advertisement and the small complex is beautiful. It is so well maintained by the owners, the pool area is clean and well equipped with sun lounges and umbrellas for shade and the gardens surrounding the apartments are well cared for. The people who were staying there during our stay was so friendly and gave us lots of information about the local area, the best bars and restaurants and places to visit. We would recommend Tides for lunch and Lime Grove and Surfside for drinks and happy hours. The service we received from Joan was excellent she answered all our questions promptly and provided all the instructions for our arrival. There is an information folder in the apartment which she has organised which again gave us further information regarding the apartment. The extra charges for the use of electric were well explained but the amount allocated was more than enough so not a worry following the advice to ensure air con etc are not left on. We would certainly recommend the Ixora apartments and are looking forward to our next visit.

Holiday, Wedding and Honeymoon

We've stayed in Barbados before in other apartments and this particular apartment was outstanding. It's in a great location of only a 10 minute walk to Holetown and the beach. The accommodation itself was fantastic with great living/dining facilities and 2 really good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The apartment was clean and cool at all times and Agnes the housekeeper was very sweet and helpful. The apartment also offered 2 outside balcony/patio areas to help us relax and unwind on not only our holiday but also our honeymoon. As we had our wedding out in Barbados we had lots of guests come to the apartment for meals and drinks and would also like to stay within the complex and book the apartment we stayed in. My dad also stayed in an apartment within the complex recommended by Joan and he's looking to book again. Myself and now husband are also looking at booking Barbados for next year and we will be in contact for Ixora Apartments 100% excellent.

Great holiday

This is my fourth visit to this beautiful apartment, a good location, close to the beaches, bars and restaurants. The apartment has everything you need to make a comfortable relaxing holiday. The swimming pool and garden areas are kept immaculate. I would highly recommend to friends and family.

A brilliant holiday!

This is my first time to Barbados and it's was more then I expected. The island is beautiful and the locals were all very friendly. Gorgeous apartment, very spacious and clean. It was lovely having a pool to go too as well. The other people on holiday in the apartment block were all very friendly and welcoming. Some great recomended restaurants, beaches and trips all within walking distance. I would love to visit again, and would Definately recommend to anyone wanting to visit. Thanks again :)
