Town: A functional harbour, sandy beach, Victorian pier, sailing club, diving centre, and sea activity centre are all features of the ancient seaside town of Teignmouth, which is located in South Devon at the mouth of the Teign estuary. Elegant Georgian buildings, a sizable open space with lawns, play areas, tennis courts, a bowling green, and a small lighthouse can all be found on the town's seaward side, sometimes known as "the Den." On Teignmouth's other side, you can see Shaldon hamlet and the Dartmoor hills in addition to fishing boats and beach houses. Every year, Teignmouth also organises folk and jazz festivals, and the village of Shaldon and Teignmouth also host water races. If you choose to travel farther afield, Teignmouth is close to many attractions, such as the breathtaking Dartmoor National Park, Exeter, and several harbour towns that are worth exploring.
