Town: Swanage, a small, family-friendly coastal resort at the eastern extremity of Dorset's Jurassic Coast, is best known for its beautiful, gently sloping golden dunes. The village is noted for its July jazz festival, stores, taverns, and restaurants, some of which serve locally caught seafood. The Victorian wooden pier, often used by divers, is a nice area to walk, fish, or watch the world go by. The town is home to the Swanage Railway, which offers classic steam engine rides through beautiful landscapes to Corfe Castle.
