Lavish Tudor Estate & Gardens - Sleeps 20!
Summary:
CURATED PROPERTY PRESENTS: Our magnificent Grade 1 listed Tudor Hall & outbuildings dates back to 1478 and has been restored to an award-winning standard of luxury and craftsmanship, gaining first prize from the Campaign for the Protection of Royal England. Set amongst 6 acres of private gardens, the estate is complete with 10 boutique bedrooms across 3 separate buildings, all individually styled with historic brickwork and beams.
The Space:
The total estate can accommodate up to 20 guests across 10 bedrooms. The estate is split into 'Hales Hall' (14 guests), 'The Gatehouse' (2 guests) & 'The Garden Rooms' (4 guests).
HALES HALL
Entering the ground floor via the entrance hall, to your left you have the library & separate drawing room which is equipped with a 65” Smart TV & Netflix. To the right-hand side of the ground floor you will find the dining room with stunning dining table capable of seating 14+ for dinner whilst providing wonderful views of the Barn and across the open countryside. The 40-foot country kitchen is positioned at the end of the ground floor. The kitchen features a double Aga and additional separate gas hobs and oven, two dishwashers, two large sinks and is extremely well equipped for cooking substantial meals for the group. There is also a store/pantry beside the kitchen and a laundry room with a washing machine and tumbledryer for guest use.
The first floor hosts the music room which has a stunning baby grand piano as well as four of the seven bedrooms, each of which are equipped with en suite bathrooms with either showers or stunning roll-top baths.
- The Sir James Hobart suite is named after the man who built Hales Hall and attorney general to King Henry VII. It features a king size bed with en-suite with a roll-top bath.
- The Countess of Suffolk suite has a king size bed with an en-suite wet room as well as a feature fireplace and oak floors.
- Prudence features a double bed with an en-suite shower room.
- Dionysia has a brass king size bed with en-suite featuring a roll-top bath as well as having it own hideaway reading room.
The second floor accommodates the final sitting room and remaining three bedroom suites.
- The Longe Room is equipped with a super king size bed and an en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath and shower. Admire the garden and stunning countryside views out of the window.
- The Sir Peter Read suite also features a super king size bed and en-suite with roll-top bath and shower.
- The Sir Francis Bacon suite features a king size bed with an en-suite with roll-top bath and shower. Named after the famous Elizabethan nobleman who was related by marriage to the Hobart family.
THE GATEHOUSE
Conjoined to the end of the Hall is the Gatehouse, located on the other side of the notable archway. Upstairs in the master suite you will find an antique four-poster bed and a freestanding roll-top bath under a glinting chandelier. There is a beautifully tiled modern bathroom downstairs with rainfall-head shower and underfloor heating, plus a warm, comfortable sitting room with large open fireplace. The spacious kitchen with a range cooker and American-style fridge-freezer opens out onto a beautiful garden hemmed by the moat and looking down the long yew avenue.
THE GARDEN ROOMS
A stable block in our stunning grounds, has recently been refurbished into two stylish double bedrooms, both with beautiful bathrooms and lovely views across the gardens and moat.
The estate is set amongst 6 acres of haven gardens which are our pride and joy, decked in acres of topiary hedges and presenting floral avenues for an evening stroll. Take a picnic down by the pond or play cricket or croquet on the lawns. Walk the towering woodland and moats on one side and enjoy the panoramic East Anglian views across farmland on the other. There is a garden terrace with outdoor dining table and chairs as well as a firepit BBQ.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Board games provided
2 cots available - linen not provided
1 high chair available
Linen, towels and essentials
Tea and coffee supplies for arrival
Hairdryers in all bedrooms
3 wood burners - logs provided
Guest Access:

The Neighborhood:
The garden of Norfolk lies all around – all windswept marshlands, feathered reeds and rolling woodlands. Tucked away behind a rolling common carpeted in buttercups, Tudor Hall’s own garden is a haven, decked in acres of topiary hedges and presenting floral avenues for an evening stroll.
Take your buckets and spades to Southwold, Holkham or Winterton-on-Sea. See seals at Horsey Mere. Tour the Broads with Loddon Pacific Cruisers. Go Ape at High Lodge, get a daily dose of culture at Norwich Arts Centre, then sink cocktails at 42 King Street, or beer and cheese at the Fat Cat.

We recommend guests use cars to enjoy the surrounding area and Norfolk countryside whilst staying with us. There are however a number of lovely walks which can be enjoyed on foot from the property's doorstep.
