There are numerous walks, footpaths and cycle paths in and around the village to explore, as well as a childrenâs play area. On the boundary between Northumberland and Cumbria, there is a wealth of tourist attractions open to guests, including Hadrians Wall, RSPB Geltsdale Nature Reserve and Alston, Englandâs highest market town. For guests wishing to explore further afield, within an hourâs drive, there is Carlisle, the historic town of Hexham, Gateshead, as well as Newcastle city, with its regenerated riverside, shopping, theatres and nightlife. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.
