The lodge is only 20 minutes from the New Forest National Park, famous for its ponies, and it borders Martin Down National Nature Reserve. the latter is known for its wildlife, rare flowers and butterflies. The Jubilee Trail crosses from border to border across Dorset and there is direct access to many miles of stunning footpaths, bridleways and cross-country cycling around the hamlet of Pentridge.

Although the lodge is set in a quiet countryside location, you are only 40 minutes from the glorious sandy beaches of the south coast and the fossils of the Jurassic Coast. If you are searching for a fun-filled day trip, then Newforest Water Park, Longleat, Peppa Pig World, Monkey World, and Bovington Tank Museum will offer fun for all ages and are well worth a visit.
