A little further along the cost is the bustling seaside town of Filey with it’s North Landing beach, where you can spend your afternoons relaxing on the soft sands sunbathing, or take a cool dip in the water. A little further afield is the North York Moors National Park and the unspoilt rolling beauty of the Yorkshire Wolds, both of which offer miles of walking and cycling opportunities. The historic City of York and Whitby, the home of Captain James Cook are easily accessible within an hour. The stately homes of Burton Agnes, Sledmere House and Sewerby Hall offer a little culture.
