We chose to ignore the review that said the manager was a bad communicator. That was our fault..
We tried for weeks to get the address of the property, after paying in full and did not receive the address until the day we were arriving. VRBO says you will get it a month before you go. That didn't happen. House manager Karen doesn't understand or care what VRBO rules are.
We were asked to pay in full the day we arrived for our golf cart rental, so we did. An hour later we were stranded on someone's lawn, the golf cart we had rented for 4 days did not have any gas in it. We contacted the manager (called 5 times, emailed, texted), heard back from her 4 hours later after paying security guys in Casa de Campo to go get gas for us.. I will say here we love Casa de Campo. Other people were helpful, kind, really wonderful.. Karen was the pits! She then called her golf cart people and they brought a second golf cart THAT ALSO HAD NO GAS IN IT! So we kept the one we had put gas in. She did not reimburse us for gas, for the time we lost dealing with her bad management. I feel sorry for the owner of the house. It is otherwise a lovely home, but Karen ruins it.
The house is spotless. We liked the housekeeper very much. The cook was alright.
We stayed in another house after this one, which was run beautifully! The manager took perfect care of us, the cook was amazing, and we got to relax and love Casa de Campo.
