We are glad to hear that you found the property to be clean and comfortable, enjoyed the welcome pack inc the full size bottle of Salcombe Gin and made good use of the spa and swimming pool facilities. Whilst we note your comments in terms of the upstairs garden area, this area is rarely used by their guests as they have their own internal balcony on the top floor and there is in fact privacy film installed on the windows to ensure that no one can see into Beach View. Parking at properties in Salcombe is an absolute premium and so having an on site parking space is considered a bonus by most.

Thanks for your review Vivian and we are sorry to hear that you did not experience good weather during your stay. As you note this property has the benefit of spa and fitness passes for the Salcombe Harbour Hotel that are great for any inclement days. We are surprised that you did not comment on the stunning views of the beaches and estuary from this apartment that so many of the guests delight in. We would draw your attention to the following: As you note, parking is a premium in Salcombe and this property comes with its own space in the undercroft parking which is a bonus. The parking is accessible for a medium sized car and we have had guests with larger 4x4's that have parked there with careful manoeuvres and other cars parked in the parking area, with no issues reported. In terms of the living area, there is a patio area for the upstairs apartment in front of the living area. This patio area is rarely used by their guests as they have to come down the internal stairs and around the building to access this area. However the living area has privacy film installed, so no one is able to look into the living room windows. We note that you have mentioned the buildings works next door. We notified you of these works as soon as we were aware before your stay, as they only started the Monday before your arrival. It is a pity that you have not shared that we offered you alternative accommodation or a full refund, as we did not want this to impact on your stay. These works are not in direct eyesight of the apartment and external aspects will be completed over the next couple of months. There have been no reported issues from guests about noise from these works since your stay. Your comments about issues on the heating and faulty light - the heating temperature was increased within an hour of you reporting this on the Sunday morning and an electrician attended during your stay to replace the non-working downlighter bulb that you reported. It is a shame that you did not report the sand on the sofas during your initial communications with us, as we would have happily arranged for housekeeping to return to rectify this during your stay.
