Great location, well-equipped kitchen
Pros:
- very well located property, it was only a few minutes walk down the hill to the water, and very close to the shopping area
- extremely well-equipped kitchen
- interior of unit just as shown in the photos
- Membership passes to the hotel spa (close to the property) was useful (especially when weather was bad)
- Garage in the property is helpful as parking is difficult in Salcombe
- Great shower
- Lovely decor, fast wifi
- Welcome pack was a nice touch
Cons:
- The parking is very cramped due to a poorly designed garage. It would be extremely difficult for large cars to park and unimaginable if all the spots were taken (spots left and right to us were empty during our stay).
- The exterior wall of the living room abuts a large patio with BBQ and two sets of outdoor furniture. If you can climb out the living room window, you will be standing on that patio. That belongs to another unit in the property. If it is in use in the high season, there will be noise and privacy issues.
- The next property is undergoing extensive construction. From the living room window, there is a close view of the construction site and the workers do start early. Not a big issue for us as it rained quite a lot during our stay and not much work was going on. It did look like it will take a very long time still.
- Very minor issues with heating and broken light. A lot of sand on the sofa, which we vacuumed up ourselves.
Overall I think it is a fine stay for the low season but potentially not as good in high season.
