The kitchen is wonderfully quirky, while being compact, it is filled with light and is fully equipped with everything you will need during your stay!
Head up the stairs – please note these are steep, as is traditional with this style of cottage – the master bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has twin beds, while the bathroom has an electric shower over the bath, heated towel rail, toilet and hand basin.
The kitchen comprises an electric double oven with hob, washing machine, under-counter fridge with ice box, microwave, kettle, toaster plus a good selection of cookware, crockery, cutlery and glassware.
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Electric central heating is fitted throughout the property, plus an electric 'wood burner' in the sitting room, which can easily be turned on via a switch and give real cosy feeling during the cooler months.
Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience - the duvets are 10 tog in thickness, with a 4.5 tog alternative provided in the bedroom cupboards if you prefer. Please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take them with you on day trips.
A small amount of tea, coffee, and biscuits are provided. There may also be other non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and a few herbs or spices available. Cleaning materials including washing up liquid and surface spray will be present in the property. One or two toilet rolls will be provided.

The region
Porlock high street is just a stone’s throw from the front door, with a range of shops for you to enjoy. It's a traditional working Exmoor village boasting three pubs, two grocery shops, Post Office, a traditional local butcher, chemist, cash machine, hardware shop, visitor centre plus other independent restaurants, shops, and tea rooms.
Nearby Porlock Weir is just 1.5 miles, a short drive or a coastal or woodland walk, here you'll find more local eateries (pub, restaurant and tea rooms) plus the 13th century harbour and the pebble beach!
Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 7 miles away, or 10-15 minutes in the car. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrison's are both situated on the outskirts of the town and have longer opening hours), banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town.
Minehead has a sandy beach and is a bustling town. It's the terminus of the West Somerset Steam Railway which chugs along the beautiful Somerset coastline and through the countryside to Bishops Lydeard. And also the start of the South West Coast Path, which runs along the coastline of Exmoor to Porlock, continuing along the coast of North Devon, then Cornwall, into South Devon then follows the Dorset coastline before finally ending at Poole Harbour.
