Private villa with private pool (14m x 4m) and garden with rural panoramic views

Lovely rural private villa. This is a typical olive-grove Provencal property with all rooms leading out onto the front terrace. The property has its own terraces with olive trees, a peaceful garden, table tennis table and private pool (14m x 4m) with beautiful views. The road going past the driveway is a dead-end lane leading to the fields, and houses so has very little traffic - consists only of local residents. At the top of the our road is the village boulangerie. There are weekly village markets. Various supermarkets can be found nearby. Claviers is an old medieval hill-top village with typical narrow, windy, streets and alleyways, adorned by pots of geraniums! Visit local vineyards, street markets, museums, forest walks, the dramatic Gorge du Verdon, Lac St. Cassien, drive to the Mediterranean coast which is only 38km away. Or simply relax in in the garden and watch Southwest panoramic views over the village. In the evenings enjoy the sun on the terrace outside the house and watch the sunset over the mountain.
You can walk in five minutes to village centre with restaurant, post office, bar, church, bakery, shop. 1+ hour drive from Nice airport past the lake and supermarkets. Many of our guests, who appreciate calm, rural peace and seclusion and local Provencal small-village charm, return year after year to the house. In the village centre is a restaurant/bar on the village square by the church, another typical bar/café, a "terrain de boules" that is much used by locals, and a village shop. Rentals run from Friday 16:00 to Friday 10.00; we only do weekly rentals. This avoids travel for you on Saturdays which can be problematic but if you require Saturday please get in touch.

Chantal the housekeeper lives in the neighbouring village and will attend to all your needs. She is amazingly helpful and the cleaning fees of 110 Euros are mandatory and are to be paid directly to her locally. Linen and towels are not provided as standard but are available at a cost of 15 Euros per person from Chantal, again this should be paid locally.
