Bad Trip
We’ve arrived at the property late night on January 8th and inside the house was very cold (17ºC ~ 63°F).
We’ve tried to heat the room by turning on the air conditioner, but without any success.
So first thing in the morning, after our arrival, we let the host know about this issue.
They told me that on the heaters you can select the temperature and turn it up.
After I sent them the picture with the AC controller/ thermometer at 18ºC, they admitted there was a problem and promised that they’ll send someone to fix it. We asked again for a quick solution like a small air heater for the night or a method to turn the heat on. We didn’t receive any response. We were in an impossible situation. After sleeping another night in cold, at around 17ºC, we let them know that in those circumstances, we will have an early check out in the morning, on January 10th and I attached a photo with the key left in a safe place. They told me that they will consult with the relevant department and keep me informed. We have not received a response until one day before the end of the staying period and they charged us for the entire period saying that in the house were 30ºC, more than the legal limit imposed by the "war in Eastern Europe". We live next to Ukraine, we stand in solidarity with them. I think it's inappropriate for the host to use this tragedy to excuse their house problems. They were rude and they lied. In the end VRBO did nothing to fix the issue.
