Spacious pet-friendly, accessible family holiday home at Hawthorn Farm, Kent
Primrose is a delightful end of terrace pet friendly cottage with large and airy rooms with views of the donkey paddocks, playing fields and gardens. The cottage comfortably accommodates up to 5 people. There are two large bedrooms, one with a superking bed (which can be split into twin beds) and the other with a small double (electric, adjustable) and two singles. Luxury cotton bedlinen, and white cotton towels provided, centrally heated and double glazed. Free Wifi access. Private garden space with own picnic table. Level parking a few steps away. Large recently renovated wet room with electric thermostatically controlled shower. Ideal for a family holiday, or for guests with restricted mobility.

Hawthorn Farm sits within a remote and peaceful setting in East Kent, and yet it is also within easy reach of some fantastic blue flag sandy beaches, championship golf courses, wildlife parks, ports/marinas, charming seaside towns and of course the historic Cathedral City of Canterbury. Our charmingly renovated self-catering cottages therefore provide the ideal accommodation not just for family holidays, but also as a handy base for cycling or walking holidays; a quiet idyll for a romantic break in the countryside; or a comfy holiday home from home for anyone seeking some much needed rest and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of their daily lives. There's definitely something to please everyone! Being less than 30 minutes from the Channel Ports and Tunnel, Hawthorn Farm is also a perfect base for anyone wanting to enjoy a day trip to France... Or if you're visiting from mainland Europe, it's an easy to reach and perfect location for exploring Kent, London and the South of England.

Hawthorn Farm now includes just under four acres of land, including donkey paddocks, hay/wildflower meadows, landscaped gardens and large shared playing field - with plenty of space for children to play outside. The holiday cottages have unique and uninterrupted views of the paddocks, meadows and surrounding fruit orchards. So you can enjoy an afternoon picnic under the shade of a parasol, or put your feet up with a cold glass of something nice, whilst watching the sun go down on those long summer evenings... There's a choice of farm shops and independent grocery stores near to Hawthorn Farm, where you can buy a wide range of award-winning locally grown fruit and veg, as well as Kent-made produce and essential groceries: sampling the local produce is a must at least once when you're visiting The Garden of England!
Primrose cottage is adapted for wheelchair users: we have allocated parking with flat path access directly to the front door which has a low threshold, and a ramp for access through the back door. The cottage also has wide doorways, sockets and light switches at waist height, and a spacious wet room with shower, grab rails and raised toilet. We have a 4 foot (120cm) electric adjustable bed with optional side bars in the second bedroom (with two further single beds ideal for one or two carers), bed raisers, a foam adjustable wedge pillow, an adjustable shower chair, and a walking aid available to borrow free of charge. We can also provide a dynamic airflow mattress for the 4' electric bed for an extra charge of ÂŁ25 per stay and a rise and recline chair for an extra charge of ÂŁ50 per stay. Please let us know at time of booking which of these facilities you would like us to provide.
