Quiet location in the middle of nature - Clifden Glen

We had a great stay nearby Clifden, the location in the residence was very convenient especially with the green spaces, kid playground and the nearby river. Our host was helpful during the stay with advice for restaurants and activities nearby. We enjoyed the tidy and well-furnished cottage during our family trip. Quiet and surrounded by nature as well as beautiful landscapes, we would recommend this cottage to our relatives and friends.

Excellent service, it is pleasant to stay. Silence ensured by a stream near the exit of the center house. The upper floor with lights open to the roof. Another period...

Nice house convenient to Clifden

We spent New Year in this house in Clifden Glen. The house was modern and spotlessly clean, the kitchen is well equipped and house has comfy beds. Heating is electric storage heating and living area was toasty warm, no need to light the fire. The only drawback is the living area is quite small and would be cramped if all the beds were occupied or you are spending a lot of time in the house.

6/10 – Okay

Small rather than comfortable

My primary issue with the property was the lounge/dining/kitchen area. It was very small - probably only around 5m square for the whole area - and not comfortably furnished. There was a two seater sofa that was ok but the wooden seating in the picture is very small and uncomfortable. The pictures are deceptive for this area. The kitchen was not well equipped as stated - it was ok. It missed simple items like a colander or proper veg knife, and large items like proper freezer storage. Not ideal for a self-catering property. The bedrooms were fine, although one has low angled ceilings. There are two shower rooms but one is so small the shower room door cannot fully open. I think it would be fine for a family of 4 with younger children provided they were out most of the time and had limited cooking requirements. The decoration was fresh and attractive but overall the property did not meet our expectations.

Enttäuschend

Nachdem eigentlich alles wunderbar anfing, insb. 5. Schränke waren voll mit Wäsche. Wenig Stauraum für Gäste. 6. Einrichtung sehr zusammengewürfelt 7. keine Außenmöbel, obwohl nach hinten recht idyllisch usw. usf. Aber die Umgebung ist toll!

Dear Claus Thank you for your review and feedback. The cottage is as described and photographed. We send all of our guests written directions,GPS coordinates, eircodes and contact details for guests prior to arrival so guests can familiarise themselves with the cottage location and the surroundings and have the caretakers details should one require assistance. There was a filter coffee pot which the guests prior to your arrival broke and has since been replaced along with a second toilet brush. We apologise had you contacted us or the caretaker we would of supplied you with both items. Guests had departed before your arrival so it would not be possible that the oven had not been in use for some time or the cottage musty as there have been guests consistantly staying in the cottage. As the cottage has been consistenly in use the freezer has since been defrosted since your departure. There was spare linens left in a wardrobe which the caretaker has since removed. Again we thank you for your review and feedback on your stay and should you wish to return please do not hesitate to contact us
