The house is located precisely in the heart of Ortigia, a few steps away from the eastern seafront ‘Lungomare di Levante’. Here you will find multiple platforms on the sea, the right place for sunbathing and a nice swim in the crystal waters. This area is full of local shops, restaurants, bars, etc… Ideal location to reach the most interesting places Ortigia offers. Piazza Duomo a few steps away, Ortigia’s popular street market 300 meters away and just 350 meters away from the touristic marina port which provides a magical atmosphere; demonstrating yacht and sailing boats from all over the world. The marina is a great place to enjoy stunning sunsets and calm walks by the water between bars, restaurants and ice-cream shops. Ortigia, an Unesco heritage site, was easily transformed to natural fortress with harbors being large enough to hold a significant population in ancient times. Therefore, the history of Ortigia is synonymous with the early history of Syracuse. Walking around Ortigia allows visitors to witness the mixed architectural styles of its many buildings. The Sicilian Baroque and Hebrew Israelite styles captivates elements that date back to the Medieval and Renaissance periods. These diverse architectural styles are also demonstrated throughout the narrow alleyways and winding streets that make up the neighborhood. In the near vicinity you can savor some of the tastiest foods the island has to offer.
