Home to the Duke of Northumberland and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts, Alnwick Castle is a popular visitor attraction and only a gentle stroll from the town centre.

Or head north and sample the world-famous kippers of Craster with the nearby walk to the iconic Dunstanburgh Castle, and beyond that, to the Farne Islands, Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island.
