The Golden Rule, a fine traditional pub frequented by many walkers and climbers is just around the corner and many other fine establishments can be found dotted around the streets of the village, intertwined with traditional gift shops, award winning restaurants and outdoor clothing retailers.
A charming chocolate box cottage, Tom Fold Cottage provides a beautiful romantic hideaway for one or two couples or the smaller family and all the ingredients you would expect from a traditional Lakeland property. Character features of exposed beams, solid wood floors and wood burning stove have been beautifully blended with quality furnishings, sumptuous linens and well chosen accessories to create a country cottage feel. Although the cottage has no garden area, the thoughtful owners have provided bench seating to the front, a sunny spot for taking in the late afternoon sun and perhaps an aperitif before dinner.
