Mayfield Cottage is based in the village of Ballater, which is nestled in the heart of Royal Deeside in Scotland
Our privately-owned, two storey holiday cottage is perfectly located in a quiet residential street but within walking distance of all the local amenities, so our guests can enjoy both the tranquillity of Deeside and easy access to all the local shops, restaurants, and coffee shops. If you are a golfer, we are just a four minute walk from Ballater Golf Club!
With beautiful contemporary Scottish interiors, Mayfield has two bedrooms, a family bathroom, lounge with log burner, kitchen, dining room and boot room.
Enjoying views of the Cairngorms and the surrounding area, we are dedicated to providing a luxury Scottish experience for our guests.
Outdoors, we have a front and back garden, with car parking, and an locked indoor area for storing sports and outdoor equipment.
Our decked patio area has a corner sofa with height adjustable table so you can relax outdoors and enjoy some local Deeside delicacies and tipples along with the (rare) Scottish sunshine!

we have added a few special features so you can still enjoy the outdoors in all types of weather!
Our pine lined arctic cabin, boasts a fabulous indoor BBQ so you can holiday in style anytime of the year. Don't worry, there's also a treasure chest of cosy blankets to keep you warm if needed!

From the cottage there are many walks to explore - from the paths along the river, the recently opened Seven Bridges Walk and of course Craigendarroch Hill with it's spectacular views of Ballater and Lochnagar.
Ballater is just 7km from Balmoral Castle and Estate, the Royal Family's Scottish holiday home since 1852.
Ballater and Royal Deeside has the most stunning scenery and is an ideal base for hill-walking, cycling, fishing, golfing and many more outdoor pursuits.
