The moment I entered the apartment, I was just shocked by how freezing it was inside. There are no radiators, no heating units. The only thing that can heat up the place is the air conditioning. I’ve entered the apartment during lunch time and it probably took an hour to figure out with the property office on how to turn on the heating. Regardless this was not the biggest issue.
The biggest issue was the gas leak in the bathroom. When I started to use the hot water, the smell of the gas was so unbearable that I almost threw up. I called the management office and explained them the issue. Told them there is a gas leak and that I’m scared for my life. The manager/property owner said that it’s impossible as it was checked a few days ago. I had to call again and say that whenever I turn on the hot water, I have a feeling that the boiler is going to explode. Same response but he added that technician is on the way. Guess what? Technician came 6 hours later at 6:30pm and confirmed that there is a leak and I have to evacuate the place.
What bothered me in this situation the most is that I called multiple times and said that this is an emergency and nobody showed up until 7pm. What should have been done is someone from their office should have immediately showed up and checked that I wasn’t lying, offered a help to find me a different accommodation and offer a refund. Instead I had to find a hotel at 7pm, pay double the price and didn’t even get a sorry.
