The Cow Shed is a luxurious, detached three-bedroom barn conversion set within the grounds of West Pitt Farm, situated in mid Devon between Tiverton and Cullompton. Guests will love the rural, tranquil location with plenty of wildlife, starry skies and beautiful scenery that this perfect farm stay can offer. The property has a secluded position surrounded by its own land, with a long private lane leading to the farm and captivating beautiful views above the Exe Valley.
The Cow Shed has spacious, reverse-level living to make the most of the views. The light and airy, open-plan sociable living space on the first floor includes a well-equipped kitchen with granite worktops, a full range of appliances and a characterful dining/living area with exposed beams and vaulted ceilings.
After a fun-filled day exploring Devon, gather your friends and family around the dining table for a celebratory homecooked meal and relax on the comfortable sofas to watch a movie. There are three comfortably furnished kingsize bedrooms on the ground floor, each with memory foam mattresses, and two of the rooms have patio door access leading out into the garden.
Sit outside and enjoy the peace of the garden with its large patio area with uninterrupted views, plenty of outdoor seating, a firepit, 5-seater hot tub and a charcoal barbecue. Whether you read a book on the swinging bench, enjoy your favourite beverage on the patio area or chill out in the hot tub, thereâs surely no more relaxing way to spend a sunny afternoon?
The property is situated 1œ miles from the village of Butterleigh, with its historic church and popular country pub. The farm is just a 15-minute drive from the M5 (either via J28 or J27) and 3 miles from the market town of Tiverton, which has a range of excellent restaurants, cafĂ©s and shops. The Grand Western Canal, with its famous horse drawn narrowboats and family boat hire, is just 2 miles away, and Tiverton Castle, Knightshayes House, Killerton House and Bickleigh Mill are all within a 10-minute drive.
The accommodation is set midway between Devonâs two coastlines, convenient for a day out to either. The award-winning North Devon coastline is within an hourâs drive with its golden sandy surfing beaches, and the Jurassic South Devon coastal beauty spots are within a 45-minute drive.
