Laura Arenas always dreamed of finding a paradise in which to disconnect, until she discovered Pico. She decided to build the rural house where she would like to stay during her vacation and offer a unique space to enjoy the island.
Pico: the best kept secret of the Azores!
The island belongs to the central group of the Azores islands composed of Faial, São Jorge and Pico. Despite being the second island in size of the archipelago, it is one of the most unpopulated and precisely for this reason, one of the best that preserves its traditions and its surroundings.
Pico has varied landscapes to walk in the mountains, to walk along trails that run through the vineyards or among volcanic lava flows of black basalt, to swim in natural pools stolen from the sea…
In summer, the patron saint festivities are an invitation to mingle with its inhabitants and taste the deep-rooted local traditions, boat regattas, bands and regional foods.
If adventure is what you are looking for, climbing the Pico mountain is a challenge in itself. Surfing, scuba diving, kayaking, mountain biking will please the more sportsmen.
Enjoying every moment in Pico is easy!
