On the second floor of the building, it has a view of the vineyard, the olive grove and the surrounding hills. The apartment is 70 square meters and consists of a living room with a corner kitchen, a master bedroom and a double bedroom, bathroom with walk in shower. The flooring is in wooden planks and old cotto bricks. The ceiling in wood, with exposed beams. There is a terrace of approximately 12 square meters with table and umbrella, facing west. A century-old pomegranate tree caresses the windows to the south.

Le Chiusure is located in the oldest part of the village of Portese, right next to the ruins of the castle, with our vineyards and olive grove on the other side. An old stone wall surrounds the property and protects the privacy of those that choose to spend some time at our place. At the entrance two century-old mulberry trees and a small chapel built in the 1700s introduce you to the courtyard structured in the typical fashion of rural houses around the lake. The apartment has been recently restored and decorated in keeping with the style of the house. From the windows you can enjoy views of the surrounding hills, the garden and the inner courtyard. Our guests have at their disposal a large portion of the garden where they can eat in the evening or relax during the day. Le Chiusure is also a farm that produces high quality wines and olive oil. So it is the perfect place for wine lovers, a holiday between the vineyards and the beaches of Lake Garda.

perfect laocation for a perfect holiday

Perfect location for tours around the lake. Very cosy apartment with spacious rooms for a very relaxing holiday. We definetely liked our visit there a lot, and defintely also because of our very welcoming hosts. The tips for good dining and nice locations they provided were very helpful and our evenings on the terrace with looking over the vineyards are really beautiful. The tasting of the own wines there were a bonus for the completion of a wounderful vacation there and we hope to come again in the near future to this adorable place.

Beautiful Location and Beautiful Farmhouse

This was the first time we had been to Lake Garda. It was also the first time we had stayed in a property quite like this. Its generally been modern with a pool for the kids. We loved Le Chiusure. The apartment was spacious and had been furnished in a way that was in keeping with a farmhouse. It made for a wonderfully peaceful break. The beach, ferry and bus were all close at hand (you can survive without a car but think a car would be an advantage). Alessandro and his wife were very helpful and the wine tasting they held was something we really enjoyed and shouldn't be missed. We very much look forward to visiting Le Chiusure again in the future.

Einfach wunderschön

Wir haben die Zeit bei Alessandro und seinen hervorragenden Wein sehr genossen. Alles hat super geklappt und Alessandro ist wirklich sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Ferienwohnung lag für uns optimal, nicht zu weit weg vom See und doch schön ruhig. Man kann von Porto Portese mit dem Boot herrliche Ausflüge machen und die schönen Orte, die Landschaft und das tolle italienische Essen genießen. Wir werden sicher wiederkommen.

Welch ein wundervoller Ort zum Entspannen und Urlauben!

Wir haben eine wundervolle Zeit an diesem Ort verbracht. Die Wohnung ist durch die großen Fenster schön hell, mit hohen Decken und der Charme des alten Landguts ist überall spürbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Dass kein Fernseher vorhanden ist empfanden wir eher als angenehm als dass wir ihn vermisst hätten. W-LAN ist da und funktioniert auch problemlos. Unser freundlicher und angenehmer Gastgeber Alessandro hat uns mit Informationen und Organisation für problemlose Anreise und Ankommen versorgt und hat sich bei Fragen und Wünschen während unseres Aufenthalts umgehend gekümmert. Der Ort ist sehr schön. Alles in allem waren wir begeistert!

wunderbar

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Ferienwohnung hat einen sehr schönen und großen Wohnbereich mit hohen Decken und vom Schlafzimmer einen direkter Blick in den Garten. Im Garten haben wir gegessen. Die FeWo ist sehr hell, liebevoll eingerichtet und authentisch. In wenigen Minuten konnten wir zum See gehen und dort schwimmen. Portese ist ein sehr guter Ausgangsort für Touren, wandern und baden. Wer ein ruhiges, schönes Domizil im wunderbarem Garten sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt in historischem Ambiente

Das alte Weingut liegt inmitten der historischen Altstadt in ruhiger Lage oberhalb des Hafens von Portese. Die Wohnung war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Wohnungseingang und die Terasse lagen oberhalb des wunderschönen Gartens. Die Eigentümerfamilie und deren Angestellte waren äußerst nett, zuverlässig und hilfsbereich. Die Kontaktsprache war in unserem Fall Englisch. Einen Fernseher gab es übrigens nicht. Dies haben wir jedoch nicht als störend empfunden. Insgesamt ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt und insbesondere für Urlauber, die wie wir Entschleunigung suchen, sehr zu empfehlen.

Wunderbares Landhaus

Zum Standort: Das Weingut hat eine sehr schöne Lage, es liegt in einem kleinem Dorf, die Gegend zählt nicht zu den Touristenhochburgen, hat aber eine wunderbare Lage zum See. Sie finden im Ort alles zum täglichen Gebrauch, wie einen Kaufmann mit dem nötigsten und einen Fleischer mit Brot, Wurst und Käse, somit können sie alles jeden morgen frisch und per Fuß holen. Einige Restaurants und der Harfen von Portese selbst, sind per Fuß zu erreichen. Es gibt auch einen Markttag. Wer etwas mehr Auswahl braucht fährt mit dem Auto oder Rad ein paar Minuten nach San Felice del Benaco, hier finden sie einen Bäcker, Fleischer und einen größeren Einkaufsmarkt sowie weitere Restaurants und Cafés im Ortskern. Zur Wohnung: Wir hatten die hier öfter beschriebene Wohnung im zweiten Stock. Wir können bestätigen, das diese eher einfach ausgestattet ist, man sollte wissen was man möchte Ruhe und Endspannung oder Hotelanlage mit krach. Wir haben die Wohnung als sauber und ausreichend empfunden, vielleicht könnte das Inventar mal wieder aufgefrischt werden, ein zweites Weinglas hätte uns schon gereicht. Man sollte bedenken das die Wohnung keine Klimaanlage hat, was wohl am Anfang etwas irritiert, aber sich als besser herausstellt hat, da wir somit nicht dem ständigen Wechsel ausgesetzt waren und wir uns gut an die hiesigen Temperaturen anpassen konnten, die zu unserer Reisezeit um die 30° C lagen. Leider ist daher, die zur Wohnung gehörende Terrasse, erst in den späten Abendstunden nutzbar, wir hätten uns aber in den großen Garten setzten können. Am morgen steht die Sonne auf der anderen Seite und man kann wunderbar draußen frühstücken. Wie wir es mitbekommen haben kann man Handtücher auch mehrfach wechsel lassen, für unseren kurzen Aufenthalt brauchten wir dies nicht. Zum Gastgeber: Dieser ist sehr freundlich, schade dass wir nicht viel Englisch sprechen, wir denke dass er gerne Tipps und Hilfe gibt. Zum Preis: Ja es könnte für die Ausstattung etwas preiswerter sein, wie wir wissen ist der Gardasee zur Hauptsaison aber immer sehr, wir hatten schon schlechteres und auch besseres für das Geld. Zum Baden: Leider war der Strand von Portese der auf den ersten Eindruck sehr hübsch erscheint, für uns nicht nutzbar. Alle lassen ihre Hunde direkt in den Strandbereich machen, was wir als großes Mango für den Ort empfinden. Wir sind Richtung Moniga del Garda gefahren wo es einen wunderbaren Strand der zwar nicht bewirtschaftet ist, aber eher reuig ist gibt.

Wunderbar

Wir waren 4 Personen ( 2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) das Appartement war groß, vor allem die Küche mit Ihren ländlichen Scharm war toll, wo wir guten Wein und Köstlichkeiten vom Gardasee verspeisten. Ein wunderschöne Umgebung, alles hat gepasst außer das Wetter, damit hatten wir Pech. Sehr nette Vermieter, Weine excellent sowie das Olivenöl ! Ein nettes kleines Städtchen und danke der guten Tipps des Vermieters sehr sehr gut gegessen in der Umgebung. Ich kann nur empfehlen dort seine Urlaub zu verbringen. Ich denke wir werden sicher mal wiederkommen, es gibt noch viel zu sehen und genießen. Chris

Wunderschön und toll gelegen!!!!

Wir haben mit unseren Kindern einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt gehabt. Die Ferienwohnung ließ nichts zu wünschen übrig, liegt in einem kleinen idyllischen Ort, in dem es ein Cafe (Eis), einen kleinen Laden (mit allem wichtigen ) und auch einen Laden mit deutschen Zeitungen gibt. am Hafen findet man auch Restaurants und Eisläden. Der Garten ist ein Traum. Eine schöne ruhige Badestelle ist nicht weit weg, allerdings eher mit dem Auto zu erreichen, der Ortsrand ist aber auch schön und fußläufig.

Perfect holidays in a relaxing atmosphere

We spent 14 days at Le Chiusure and had a wonderful time there. Just perfect holidays with good wine in a relaxing atmosphere. The hosts are friendly and make you feel very comfortable. Also the Wine tasting is a must. We really liked the style of the apartment, it was perfectly cleaned up and fully equipped, with an amazing view in the huge garden. Portese is a nice place to stay, you can walk by foot to the beach and the little harbour where you can take the boat to other locations. There are good (and child-friendly) restaurants and little shops only a few minutes from Le Chiusure. So you don´t have to use the car, if you want so. Altogether we definitely will come back!

Comment on a twoweek stay

We stayed in two apartments, 1 week in "Finiele", one week in "Giardino". And we liked both apartments, though you also have to like the style of the apartments: no TV, no gadgets, but all the basic things in truely good quality. We really enjoyed our stay, and we alway felt "home" at Le Chiusure when we came back from one of the many different activities we did there (beach, mountain hiking, eating out, sailing, shopping at Salo, ...). Mr Luzzago, the owner of the vineyard, really is fond of vines, and a sense of cultural interest flickers through the other things used as interior in the apartments. So, don't miss his vine degustation (each wednesday evening as of Sep 2010), and take your Boule balls along to enjoy the vineyard's garden. We think our vacation was worth the (high) price we payed for it and can recommend the location.

zu teuer, Preis/Leistung stimmt nicht!

Wir haben genau die gleichen Erfahrungen wie der vorherige Bewerter gemacht. (Schade, diese Bewertung war bei unserer Buchung noch nicht eingestellt) Gut: Garten und Lage superschoen! Gardasee zu Fuss erreichbar, nette Restaurants in Umgebung, nicht ueberlaufen, ruhig. Gegend sehr schoen zum Abschalten. Schlecht: Wir hatten die oberste Wohnung (2.Stock - steile, teils schmale Treppe) von welcher wir uns beim angegebenen Wochenpreis eine bessere Ausstattung erwartet hatten. (Beispielsweise standen Naegel in Holzdielen leicht ab - wir hatten ein Kleinkind dabei!) Innen-Ausstattung eher basic, trotz wirklich schoener teilweise antiker Moebel. Wasser nicht immer warm und oft ohne Druck. Kuehlschrank selbes Problem wie bei Vor-Bewerter. Fazit: zu teuer bei Basic-Ausstattung. Tipp: Mückenspray und Moskitonetz mitnehmen, wir hatten im Juni 2010 ein Stechmückenproblem!

Ferienwohnung im obersten Stockwerk Gut: Schöne, ruhige Lage - großer Garten mit alten Bäumen; Innenausstattung - teilweise schöne, antike Möbel; Wäschewechsel nach einer Woche und auch für 12 Tage buchbar; guter Standort für Fahrradausflüge; nahe beim See; ruhige, nicht so überlaufene Gegend Schlecht: Küchenschrank schließt nicht richtig, Badregal fällt fast um, Nachttischlampen sehr wacklig und Stromkabel stark gequetscht, Duschwasser ist generell nur ein Rinnsal und auch die Temperatur entweder heiß oder kalt (kaum variierbar); Kühlschrankschublade war bei Bezug innen sehr dreckig, und obwohl die Endreinigung eigentlich im Preis enthalten sein sollte, mußten wir sie vor Ort extra bezahlen. Bei dieser einfachen Ausstattung und den vorliegenden Einschränkungen auf jeden Fall zu teuer!

A Wonderful Place to make vacations

We ( Family with 2 Kids 11 and 15) had a Wonderful vacation in la chiusure this Summer. The Appartement had everything we wanted and we did not miss a TV. It is beautifully Furnished and lays in a beautiful Garden. The village portese has a Café, a small Shop and a small newspaper store. It is possible to Walk by feet to the Port where 2 more Restaurants are located and also to the Beach. But there is a much more nice Beach nearby which can be reached by Car easily. We enjoyed the Stay very much !!!!

Charming and Relaxing by Lake Garda

My family of 4 had a wonderful and relaxed two weeks at Le Chiusure in August. The top floor apartment where we stayed was rustic and well equiped. It was a very hot 2 weeks and perhaps a fan would have helped though we didnt ask for one I am sure if we had Allesandro (the owner) would have obliged. Nearby are restaurants and a small but useful supermarket. The lake itself is a 10 minute walk away and the nearby town of Salo (15 minutes drive) is beautiful. There was much peace and quiet but also the little village of Portese was active with a movie night in the square and a blues tribute band in the Castillo di Portese another night. In summary very relaxed but plenty to do if you wish to.

Charming Place

We had been looking for an apartment at Lake Garda, which should be a little away from the beaches / promenades >> and we did find it! The location is quiet but it is only a few minutes to Lake (walking), the beaches or the promenade of Salò from where you can take the pleasure boots to the Lake Garda destinations. The hosts are very friendly and fluent in English, the apartment was well equipped in all aspects, comfortable and clean. We appreciated that the apartment does not have a TV but a working wireless LAN which did allow us to catch up with the burden of daily e-mails. We do recommend tasting the wine from Le Chiusure either on the premises, in one of the local restaurants or by taking it back with you. We would certainly recommend Le Chiusure to my friends / family if they would search a destination at the western shore of Lake Garda and we would choose it again without thinking twice.

Perfect holidays in a relaxing atmosphere

We spent 14 days at Le Chiusure and had a wonderful time there. Just perfect holidays with good wine in a relaxing atmosphere. The hosts are friendly and make you feel very comfortable. Also the Wine tasting is a must. We really liked the style of the apartment, it was perfectly cleaned up and fully equipped, with an amazing view in the huge garden. Portese is a nice place to stay, you can walk by foot to the beach and the little harbour where you can take the boat to other locations. There are good (and child-friendly) restaurants and little shops only a few minutes from Le Chiusure. So you don´t have to use the car, if you want so. Altogether we definitely will come back!

Le Chiusure - Wine Olives and Lake Garda!

We arrived late(long road trip from GB) to be met by our hosts with their warm friendly accomendating style, helping us to settle in quickly (good info on where and what to do) to the slow pace of life on a working Italian vine yard.(if you like wine recommend the tour and the wine produced here!). Our accomendation was the Solalio apartment on the top floor of the renovated farm building with great views of the vineyard, its beautiful garden with its fig trees and the surrounding countryside. The apartment was fully furnished meeting all our needs. This was our second year here as a family and it was great to see the continous work the owners are doing to improve and better what they provide.(not that they need to do too much!) The location is great for visiting all areas around Garda or for just staying put. Portese with its small port is fulll of character and charm and has nearby lakeside beaches for lazy afternoons. In the villlage are a number of good restaurants for nights out Can't wait to return!

Nice and cozy holiday

We stayed in Le Chiusure for two weeks and had a really relaxed time. Our apartment was located in the 1st floor and we had all we needed during our stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, all rooms were perfectly cleaned up and after the 1st week we get new towels as well as linen and dish towels. Paola and Alessandro are very friendly landlords and did their best to make us feel at home. Most of our time we were laying in the garden, just enjoying the nature without any disturbing traffic noise. The wine and oil tasting is a must-see and the additional served appetizers are great – thanks Paola. The way to the harbor of Portese is only a few hundred meters away, but keep in mind: your apartment is on the top of the hill ;-)

Holiday at Le Chiusure

We stayed at Le Chiusure Solalio apartment for 8 nights during our stay in Portese village.The apartment was in a old nicely renovated farm house, with a beautiful garden. We stayed in on the top floor of the building and we had a great view over the wine yard. Mr. and Ms Luzzago were very helpful and they told us the story of the farm house and we were even able to see the old, beautiful family chapel. We took part in wine tour and tasted Le Chiusures excellent wines. The apartment is located in the heart of Portese village within walking distance to lake. We had a car and we make day trips to e.g. Monte Baldo (with great views over the Garda lake) and Sirmione (with a magnificent roman spa ruins and museum). We had a wonderful stay that we will remember for many, many years. -family from Finland-

Cosy week at the vineyard

We were very pleased with our stay at Le Chiusure. You feel like you are in the countryside, but when you walk outside the gates you are in the middle of the village Portese with stores, restaurants and ATM just around the corner. No disturbing traffic. The property is very children friendly with a big lawn. We stayed two families in the big apartment with en suite bathrooms in both the bedrooms. Perfect! The wines from the winery are great. The only thing we missed was a complimentary bottle waiting for us in the apartment when we arrived ;-)

Born in Brescia, I graduated in Agricultural Sciences at the University of Florence, but felt unhappy with theory and lectures that never took us out of the classroom and into the fields. I later found that working in the vineyard explained to me why I had thought of studying agriculture in the first place: working in the field was much more satisfying.
In 1989, the year of our first harvest, I moved to Portese where my wife Paola reached me a year later. After some time, besides the wine and oil production we opened a small country restaurant and two comfortable farmhouse holidays apartments. For a few years our simple but distinguished cuisine, carefully matched to our wines, proved an excellent marketing tool for our name. In 2001 we decided to transform the restaurant into a third apartment, thus ending an activity that was very satisfying but too labour-intensive to manage on our own as we had planned. Today we have four holiday apartments, about four hectares of vineyards and two of olive groves, producing around 20,000 bottles of wine and 1,000 of extra-virgin olive oil each year. The small size of our farm and the high value of the land in our area mean we are always striving to improve our products, adding value to everyday work and personal satisfaction, which makes us appreciate what we do far more than profit alone.

Our holiday apartments are part of a large 17th century rural complex, whose architectural and historic value is protected by Italian law. Since we started farmhouse tourism – in 1994 with our first apartment, three others restored in 1997, 2001 and 2014 – we estimate that we have welcomed about 1000 families overall.
The apartments have all been restored and decorated in keeping with the style of the house, and over the years we have enhanced their quality, investing each winter in maintenance and improvements. 

Far away from the main roads, in rooms set in an ancient rural building, furnished simply but with taste, rich in charm and personality, and with the possibility of enjoying a large garden surrounded by a stone wall which guarantees our guests quiet isolation:
three apartments (originally an old loft, a barn and a porch respectively) are located on different floors of the home and each one offers something unique. A fourth apartment, located on the north-side of the property features a private entrance and garden.

From the windows you can enjoy views of the hills, the garden and the inner courtyard. Our guests have at their disposal a portion of the garden and a small library of books and photographs describing the lake and the surroundings.

Le Chiusure is first of all a wine and oil producing farm. For those interested in our work, the harvest period and the initial processing of the grapes (September and October) are the most interesting time of the year, together with the olive picking weeks in November. Also springtime can offer interesting insights of the vineyard as it starts once again to grow. We wish to underline the fact that guests are physically close to the vineyards, the cellar and the olive groves during their holiday at Le Chiusure.
