Cozy atmosphere of a large two-storey fully furnished apartment in an 1860 era old wooden house. Lots of space to relax. Private entry from the tranquil garden. Location on the hilltop next to the old town with large windows opening towards the secluded and sunny garden. On the second floor you will enjoy the balcony overlooking the apple trees in the garden, skylight windows over the large orange lounger and views over the town towards the river and beyond.

Prime location next to our small town centre and the old Porvoo, on the highest point of town. Located on the old town perimeter, our house now sits between the city street (Castle Street) and gravel path (Queen's Path) crossing the park behind our barn. Our quests can enjoy both the immediate proximity to town and also privacy and peace.

Let us know if you have any special wishes and we will do our best to accommodate you. Our check-in and check-out times can be flexible and we can make special arrangements to make your stay as pleasant, private and/or productive as you wish.

Sejour ville et campagne

La maison est vraiment très jolie, nous avons été accueillis avec des fleurs fraiches un peu partout : une vrai sensation de printemps. L'environnement est superbe, a proximite du coeur de ville tout en donnant l'impression d'être a la campagne. La maison est idéale pour une famille : chacun avait son espace. Kirsten reste a l'écoute s'il devait y avoir un soucis mais nous n'en avons eu aucun. Très bon séjour pour nous. Merci de nous avoir accueillis chez vous. La famille Maillard.

Pekka is a founder of a technology integrator & training development company (Akela Corporation est 2008)and used to work and travel frequently around the world. When travel was no more an option after the covid spring 2020 there was plenty of time for following the instructions of Kirsten to paint the house inside and out, landscape the garden with pebbles, pot-plants and manicured lawns and generally fall in love with gardening and hosting guests from near and far.

Porvoo is a lovely old town well located just 50 km east of Helsinki on the highway. You can really relax in this small town which is full of history and nowadays has plenty to offer for its inhabitants and short-term visitors alike, from cafes to culinary gems, excellent boutique shops, possibilities to unwind and explore the surroundings on foot, bike, boat or canoe along the river all the way to the sea.

We have lived on Vicarage Hill since 2004. We have a space on the other half of our big old house which we first started to offer for our old friends and relatives from all over the world to come and stay with us. Everyone enjoyed it so well that now we offer the possibility to others to stay at Vicarage Hill as well.

Vicarage Hill is lovely and well equipped with everything you need. The place looks even better than it does on the pictures. The house is very conveniently located just couple of minute walk down the hill to old town restaurants and cafes.

We have noticed that the space is big enough for even a large group to feel comfortable and enjoy their time together even if rains all day. Accommodation is for six people who can sleep in comfortable beds and extra bed(s) can be arranged if needed.

If you are an even bigger group or want to add space or sauna, then there is also the possibility to add to your rental a separate studio with two beds and sauna, with location on the same property in the adjacent former horse stables originating from 1908.

Our quests can have complete privacy. If needed, the owner lives next door on the same property and can help to make your stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible.
