Newly available for 2021, light & airy, contemporary garden apartment with its own covered terrace, in a privileged rural location at cortijo Fruitful Hills. Our estate nestles in nearly four acres of fertile hillsides with private nature trails, stunning views, beautiful trees and friendly animals to meet. Managed by experienced, award-winning, 5 star-rated on-site hosts.
There are two double bedrooms, both en suite with high-quality toilet, shower and washbasin. The master bedroom, with a king-size double bed, has two pairs of french doors onto the private covered terrace with views towards the traditional whitewashed town of Alhaurin el Grande set against the Sierra Mijas mountains. The second double bedroom is at the back of the apartment built into the hillside with a window well, making it ideal for cool summer and warm winter nights. It has the flexibility of a super king-size bed or two singles. There is a spacious lounge/dining area with patio doors onto the terrace. There is an open plan flow to the kitchen and a further outdoor kitchen/barbeque area on the terrace. The same contemporary stone effect tiles run throughout the apartment and onto the terrace, giving a sense of harmony. The walls are freshly decorated in clean white. The apartment and terrace are all on one level.
Allocated secure parking is adjacent to the apartment. The nearly 4 acres of the property include 2 acres of hillside nature trails as well as a developing permaculture food forest with many citruses, nut, avocado, mango and fig trees. There are many places to sit quietly, enjoy the views and soak in the beauty of the nature-rich environment.

The Andalucian Rescue Centre for Horses is a short walk away and is open to visitors on Sunday mornings.
"Alhaurin", a name given by the Moors, means "God´s garden", the area being fertile with a pleasant winter climate. There is abundant fresh fruit & vegetables grown and sold locally. There is a mix of traditional Spanish people & culture and a large, established, international community.
We are a 30-minute from the Costa del Sol, Marbella & Fuengirola.
We are a 45-minute drive (46km) from the world-renown El Caminito del Rey with its spectacular rope walkways.
We are just 30 minutes from Malaga airport, and accessible by good tarmac roads with just the final 100 metres being a steep concrete lane uphill.

We are a host family, husband Andrew, wife Hazel and young daughter Grace Joy along with various rescue animals including friendly dog Johnny, two cats, Clyde and Socks, two dwarf rabbits, Smokey & Liquorice, and eight egg-laying hens. We live a mainstream-media-free lifestyle, seeking to make the most of the natural peace and beauty of our surroundings. We are top five-star rated hosts with our existing holiday rental in Grassington, Yorkshire Dales, and are now offering quality space and accommodation annexed to our own home here in Andalucia, southern Spain.
Andrew retired early from serving as a Yorkshire Church of England vicar to support his family through serious health challenges. Hazel is a former model and adventure sports enthusiast who lived the high-life in Sydney, Australia.
Andrew is also an early retired Chartered Accountant. He enjoys creating beautiful spaces indoors and out.
Hazel comes from another planet, and is an off-the-scale sensitive intuitive (says, Andrew). Her talents (again, says Andrew) include being an amazing stay-at-home mum, a published poet, life coaching and research, prayer & solitude.
