Diese schöne, geräumige Blockhütte befindet sich in einer privaten Wohnanlage in einem Naturschutzgebiet in den Bergen. Genießen Sie die Beobachtung von Truthähnen, Kaninchen, bunten Vögeln und vielem mehr, während Sie auf unserer Terrasse mit Blick auf Mount Mitchell frühstücken. 3 Außendecks stehen zu Ihrer Verfügung, zwei sind überdacht. Viele Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien. Im Inneren befinden sich 3 geräumige Schlafzimmer, 3 Bäder und zwei große, großartige Räume für Familienspaß. Für große Gruppen stehen 2 Essbereiche und eine geräumige, gut ausgestattete Küche zur Verfügung. Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Garage ist der Spielbereich und umfasst eine Tischtennisplatte, Airhockey und ein Maisloch. Keine Autos in der Garage erlaubt.

Hausaufteilung: Erdgeschoss: Wohnzimmer mit TV und Holzofen; Esstisch bietet Platz für 4; Küchentisch für 6 Personen; ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Doppelbett.
Im Obergeschoss befindet sich ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett und einem Vollbad.

Lovely getaway

A very nicely appointed cottage. It was perfect for a family getaway. Weather did not cooperate but it allowed us wonderful bonding time playing games and laughing together.

Great location

This was a very nice cabin very secure for 55 plus age ladies. 7of us had plenty of room. The porch was great and the view breath taking. We were close to Ashville went somewhere every day but happy to come back to this great cabin.

Everything we needed and then some

Our family of four spent thanksgiving week here and the house (kitchen especially) met our needs completely. I cooked our traditional holiday meal here and the kitchen had all of the “stuff” necessary! The views are amazing - ideal for a restful, peaceful getaway. We’d love to come back when all the foliage is in bloom.

Beautiful cabin

Perfect cabin, exactly what we expected! Awesome view and the rental company was fantastic. The only complaint was the water pressure in the kitchen sink made it extremely difficult to wash dishes. But overall this was amazing and I would definitely come again.

What a beautiful place to stay!

I don't know how my family found this cabin but it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. It was close to our desired stops in Asheville and Black Mountain and served as a home away from home. Every room was clean and spacious and we had a blast playing ping pong in the game room. The view was particularly breathtaking and we stayed nice and warm during the cold nights in December. We also got a kick out of the wild turkeys that showed up one morning and made sure to take plenty of pictures.

Great Place, would stay again

Beautiful views and house has everything you may need. Fairly private but there are a couple of neighboring homes within sight. Nice trails and waterfalls in the neighborhood. Only complaint was the upstairs queen bed is very squeaky with each movement.

Anniversary Weekend with close friends

I rented this cabin for mine and my wife's first year anniversary and invited two other couples of close friends with us. We had an amazing time. The cabin was clean, inviting, and the views were to die for. We spent the weekend playing games, went hiking, enjoying great company, and never left the cabin. It was so much fun and we are already looking to book again for our next trip. I highly recommend this cabin if you are trying to just get away and enjoy some relaxation time.

Peaceful

I still dream about the cabin. For sure we’re going back there. The quiet, peace and calm was everything that we needed, Our dog just loved running up and down the stairs and chasing the squirrels off the deck. The cabin was five stars and the management company five stars + and I’m not an easy one to please.

Had no problems renting. Easy and non-. stressful. Load up on groceries before getting up there cause there is no place close to just run out and pick up something. However; for day trips - there is lots to do. We LOVED the stay. Was our first vrbo - won't be the last.

Lovely house - gorgeous views

The house is kept in great shape and has all the amenities you could want (equipped kitchen, DVD player with a stash of fun movies, paper products, etc.). The views from the wrap-around porch are gorgeous and we spent every morning enjoying our coffee while staring at the mountain vista. The house is a bit of a drive from Asheville, but nicely situated between Asheville and Lake Lure so for a longer stay, you could enjoy Chimney Rock, Asheville, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We had a great time and just wished we were there longer!

Spectacular Views! Beautiful log home, well-equipped, clean, and inviting.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The floor plan was ideal with two bedrooms and a bath downstairs and the master suite, master bath, and half bath on the main floor. We loved the views from the great wrap around porch and also from inside with all the windows. The kitchen had everything we needed and the grill downstairs/outside was a plus. We also enjoyed the ping pong table and dartboard. Even my son remarked at how thoughtful the owners are - laying out flashlights and having a first aid kit in the pantry -also on hand were basic condiments, paper towels, trash bags, etc. My son, daughter-in-law, two grandchildren, my mother, and I were all very impressed and wished we could have stayed longer. It was just what my extended family and I needed.

Stay cool in the Summer time

Goal for the Summer was to beat the heat and spend time in the mountains where it will have low 70's climate. Got to the place and checked in about 5pm EST; instructions were pretty straight forward and easy to follow. This property sits in a gated very quiet neighborhood and best place to stay if you have children and exploring the neighboring areas; which is very close to chimney rock; lake lure; mount Mitchell and many more... Actually met the Owners as the water pump was struck by lightning and there was no water; the Owners were helpful and was able to get someone to fixed the pump the very next day. This is by far the most relaxing and feel at home cabin that me and my family have rented. Will rent again next time around.

Extraordinary cabin for family vacation!

It wasn't until we got within a couple of miles of the end of the directions that we realized it's inside the Gateway Mountain community where we stayed last year in another cabin so we were familiar with the area. Laura's directions were right on for 2 very tired drivers who had just driven the full day from southern CT. Cabin seems to be built solid as a rock! All of the hard wood was very nicely done. The owners provide pretty much anything most people would use at home and you're not that far from anything else you need to buy - it's a remote cabin in the woods which is what we wanted. Beautiful view especially the night of July 4th when we could look off the back deck and see hundreds of different fireworks for 5-25 miles in the different towns. Our 2 kids loved being there and were happy just watching the rabbit that visited the yard every morning. We love that area and will certainly check this cabin's availability at the top of our list the next time we plan to come back. Everything was great!

Beautiful Cabin! Great View, Cozy, and Affordable!

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin to celebrate my birthday. Very cozy, spacious, and well equipped. We had everything we needed from linen, towels, amenities, kitchen/dining equipment. A blender would have been nice to have. The weather was beautiful; which allowed us to sit on the porch and enjoy the beautiful views. We were able to use the grill downstairs which was an added plus. Very secluded. Make sure you get everything you need before going up the mountain; even-though it is not too far away to a grocery store, We enjoyed the ping-pong and dartboard, a pool table would have been a excellent added entertainment as well. Beautifully decorated. The beds were firm and comfortable. There is only one sofa. Maybe an L shaped sofa that could sit up to 6 people would have be great. Sitting in the wooden chairs watching a movie isn't the most comfortable, but it was okay. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and looking forward to visiting again in the near future.

Affordable Cabin, but Slightly Uncomfortable

We came here for a last minute girls trip the weekend before Christmas to see the Biltmore Estate. It was a little hard to get everything booked and all the details ironed out with the owner, but that's probably just because of the holidays. It has great views with lots of windows in the living room/dining area. The kitchen and dining area had everything we needed. However, the living room only has 1 sofa and no chairs, so it's not the most accommodating for 5 people unless you are willing to sit in the floor or pull the dining chairs over (also, not the most comfortable). The cabin was well decorated throughout with snowmen and seemed very homey. We had two major complaints about the cabin: all the beds were super hard/uncomfortable and you have to carry your trash off. You can take it to the waste station a little ways away, but if you check out on Sunday it's not open. Ours ended up leaking in the back of the car until we found a gas station to dump it at. Also, for planning purposes the Biltmore Estate and Asheville is roughly 45-50 minutes away (one way). Overall, we had a fun trip and the cabin is very affordable. The owner was pleasant whenever I talked to her and I did let her know my recommendations as well. Hope this review helps anyone looking for a cabin around Asheville.

The owners appreciate your review (4 out of 5 stars). We respond to inquiries within 24 hours, on average within a few hours. According to Google Maps, our home is just over 30 miles from Asheville. Our home offers many amenities such as Direct TV, Wi-Fi, and a wrap-around porch with spectacular views. But, there is no trash pick-up within our secluded, gated community by choice. Trash must be removed by the renter. This is in the Rental Rules which each renter receives prior to their arrival. Directions to and hours for the local Waste Collection Facility are provided upon booking.

Not worth the money

Of all the cabins we looked at in the Asheville area, this was one of the pricier options. For the money, we were expecting more, including some basics regardless of cost. We did not use the basement level at all so it’s not included in the review. Pros: Great cabin, very spacious, open, amazing view. Cons: Cheap towels Cheap sheets Cheap paper towels Beds were ridiculously uncomfortable and noisy. The mattresses for both bedrooms and pillows upstairs were a joke. The main level bathroom had one bar of soap, no hand soap bottle. Luckily we had our daughter’s body wash. The kitchen and upstairs had different hand soaps on the cheaper end. Incredibly minor gripe but combined with everything else and how much we paid, just detracted from the experience. Super cheap paper towels. One dishwasher pod provided. What if we had more people (it was just three of us) or cooked more? We couldn’t run the dishwasher upon check-out. No sponge, just Brillo pads. The kitchen is not “well-equipped” per listing given all of the above. The main living room couch looked nice but was ultimately uncomfortable. Not very supportive and I was leaning one way or another. The TV remote was awful. They had DirectTV but no ESPN (who does that?). Luckily I had youtubetv and was able to cast to the TV but it was super slow. There was a sound bar but it would turn off if you paused for too long. Just a weird setup. Out of the three sinks we used, for two of them, hot water was in one direction, and for the third, hot was in the opposite direction. Super confusing/frustrating weekend trying to wash your hands and such. The kitchen sink at least had labels, but they were super tacky, just from a label maker and haphazardly placed. Some of the outdoor furniture have seen much, much better days. I was hesitant to sit on them and wondered if they were safe to use, with potential paint chips/rust. I think they were fine ultimately but not pleasant to look at. The view is great, however, you cannot see sunrise or sunset. The main patio faces northwest but you are blocked by trees on either side. The way everything is angled, you also don’t get a ton of sun on the back patio. Maybe half of it half the day. Just friendly FYI. Overall, we were expecting a lot more for the money and will not be coming back here. Again, great overall look and feel, spacious, great view, just not worth the money for us.

In regard to the amenity starter kit, we disclose that it is only intended to get you started and help you transition into your vacation upon check-in. We also outline what is included and mention that you'll most likely need to pack or pick up additional supplies for your stay depending on group size and length of stay. I am pleased to share that we are in the process of upgrading those amenity kits and are excited to share them with guests in the upcoming months. With this in mind, we hope that you will consider staying with us again in the future so we might regain your confidence and exceed your expectations.

Amazing views!

This cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay for a few days. The weather was chilly, so spent time sitting inside doing puzzles and playing board games while enjoying the beautiful view of the mountains.
